Chris has the perfect level of "famous". He's not famous enough, but he's notorious enough to be walking around the streets without having a stampede of people around him.
Honestly, I've been watching his interviews nonstop for days, and he never ceases to amaze me. He's got so many interests and stories, and despite his massive talent and rich career, he seems to be so open to people. And his friendship with Kenny is just beautiful. It also makes you sad because there aren't many people like that.
I love when people I admire turn out to be normal, decent people. I’ve met a handful of my musical inspirations and celebs in general that turned out to be complete jerks. Chris seems like a solid dude:)
I’ve met him in person, and what you see here is what you get. He’s a decent no-nonsense, warm and funny guy and you can hear it in the creative choices he makes and the value of the performances & productions of his work. His appreciation and love of musicians and music history is on par with Dave Grohl. I really like that about him - that he sees it as a kind of duty as an entertainer to honor the traditions of the music he owes his career to - from Roy Orbison and Buddy Holly to Elvis and Bo Diddley. It’s rare you get a guy like Chris in an industry rife with addiction, corruption, and untimely deaths. The closest thing to a substance you’ll find in Chris’s house is Tang. 👍🏻
So cool that his mom was an antique dealer. I'm a huge record collector since I was a wee lady (I'm 54) and I'm into old crap too - military, fire depth, ephemera, aviation, airlines, ny history, etc - and just from looking at what Chris wears, I know he must also dig vintage clothes too. By the way, one part of the background music used Message To Ya by Daryl Hall, from his last solo album Laughing Down Crying. It would be FABULOUS to see Chris and Kenney appear on an episode of Live From Daryl's House! Like Chris, Daryl has a great sense of humor, and he restores old houses too - maybe they could BOTH walk through the weekend flea markets in and around NYC, or go to the Elephants Trunk or Brimfield (in CT). Very cool!
I don't know anything about antiques , but I love to shop garage sales and thrift stores !!! It's a hobby . And here is Chris that obviously doesn't need to shop at thrift stores , but just loves the hunt 🙂🙂
What a riot! Who knew? Antiques Roadshow move over. 😅 My mother always took me to these places, too. I have a beautiful old French upholstered chair in my bedroom, as a result... but a two dollar tie is a find!
Love going to flea markets and yard sales. You never know what you will find. I hope Chris went back and bought that dish from that lady. Did not blink twice when he dropped over $1300 on the microphone and ship lamps! 😂
You haven’t been to the Coachella Valley which is the Palm Springs area with thrift stores and consignment shops that have tons of wonderful stuff at a fraction of the cost elsewhere.
Chris Isaak could take me shopping any day of the week.

Chris needs to start a reality show shopping. Love to see that stuff and he just makes it even better.
This is glorious - I feel like this in 2nd hand bookshops and retro toyshops. I love Chris' music and I think I'd enjoy going shopping with him!

I heard he was telling women, "would you like to see my junk?" This led to many misunderstandings.
I love Chris ♥️♥️♥️♥️
