I think the destroyer move at 22:45 was because the opponent was trying to complete the alliance bounty for at least 8 cards destroyed in a game. I've done that once too.😂
That was my exact thought. I have occasionally made insane last turn plays that were definitely not going to win me the game just so I could get bounty progress.
@@BlakeeeWang Discard is the easiest of them. Just a good deck of discard (Apocalypse-Modok based) and you do a lot of discards. Even a good destroy deck doesn't need to destroy 8 cards in a match, so it's really harder. But the hardest, as usual, is to move 7 cards in a game. Move decks are cursed LOL
it's not complicated. all you have to do is just try to spend all your energy each turn. if you do, no matter *when* you play him, he can be up to 3/9 by turn 6 or 3/10 by turn 7. the new normal for a good 3 cost is to have 5 Power. Speed can easily surpass that in the average match
On Speed’s name, that first Young Avengers comic went all out to try and confuse you about what characters origins/powers were. Wiccan originally was called Asgardian and pretended to be a Thor character to do lightning etc. In reality he(and Speed)are Wanda’s kids and his power is all magic and reality manipulation. Hulkling of course pretended to be a kid Hulk but is actually a Kree/Skrull hybrid(the younger halfbrother of Martyr, their father being the og Captain Marvel, Mar-Vell). The og Patriot(the one in the base card’s art is actually the second one who Marvel were pushing at the time before bringing the og back)looked like a WW2 Bucky but actually was homaging one of his family members(who was a test subject in the super soldier program) and didn’t have powers or a super serum until later. Ironlad pretended to be a Iron Man legacy character but the big reveal of the book was that he was a young Kang. Stature no one knew had powers until she met the Young Avengers and grew to giant size. Her father had recently died when Wanda went crazy so she had been scared to ever reveal she got powers from having been near his shrinking tech growing up. She later learned to shrink. Eventually a rebuilt Vision(he had died in the same Wanda attack)joined the team but he had a different mind and looked much younger but people kept confusing him with the adult Vision. And finally there was Kate who at the start used both Mockingbird and Hawkeye stuff(both were dead at the time) until settling into only using the bow. She briefly used the name Hawkingbird.
Would you buy this card at series 4? Probably not. Series really doesn’t indicate card quality imo. If you want the card you’ll get it, if you don’t you won’t.

Hi Regis - I like the way you build decks with two 1-drops, two 2-drops, etc., but it's not really great from a curve standpoint. Basically by turns 5-6, you've already drawn most of your deck, so you don't rlly need to include multiple 5 and 6 drops, because you'll draw into them anyway almost every game. You usually want more small cards to boost your chance of drawing them early in the game. A good template might be [1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 4, 4, 5, 6], or [1, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 3, 4, 4, 5, 5, 6]. (generated using a python script doing a lot of stats, and just guessing how much power each energy might be worth)
I like how you go full speed like he doesn't already know. Playing on curve isn't always the best strategy, even with a card like Speed. You're better off building the deck for more options in the middle and endgame. Especially since Speed isn't that great a payoff for playing on curve. The deck isn't built around him, like a Wiccan deck has to be, for example.
@@chrisblake4198 It's fair that you want to have more options lategame, I know there are decks like the big-bads deck which prove that. But I do find consistently when watching regis that he complains about missing small draws earlygame a LOT more often than missing big draws towards the endgame. Also, it's often completely fine to play several 2 or 3 drops on turns 5-6 instead of big cards, so I wouldn't say lighter decks have less flexibility. I also don't often see regis play complicated decks with lots of middle-lategame choice - he just likes to slam big numbers - so I think he'd be just fine with fewer expensive cards.

I really needed Jeff and I ended up getting speed on the way, and this is the most lukewarm, middle of the pack, uninspiring card we’ve gotten in a very long time. It’s not fun, it’s not very good, it doesn’t offer anything unique. Maybe if it was a 3/4 or a 2/3 it could be okay but even winning 4 games for the collectors tokens felt like such a chore.
Correction: Hydra bob also goes in the category of ridiculously mediocre card. It’s insane these cards both got released at series 5 and value both cards as 40 dollar cards.
It seems to me that speed and wiccan are intended to be played alongside quicksilver and domino in a Agatha deck since if you high roll them on turn 3 and 4 you play Agatha by turn 5 and have a turn 6 with 8 energy to do whatever 😅 ... But idk seems incredibly non realistic
With a couple more 3 drops to blunt if you don't draw Speed, that is more than half your deck to set up a turn 6 that isn't that great especially if you need to spend 3 energy on the Speed you didn't draw sooner.
In the ideal world, that sounds really good. But you basically have 2 draws and 2 starting cards to get Speed and 1 more to get Wiccan. It just seems so unlikely.

Boring? Yes. Dependable? Absolutely. A 3/7 on average with no downside is nothing to scoff at and can definitely watch victory from the jaws of defeat
