IDV announced a couple years back that not all survivors have a hunter form and I think vice versa for hunters’ having a survivor one. So the theory of a portrait not having a shadow meaning that they won’t have additional forms does actually make sense when thought of that way.
I mean. Idv changes what it wants when it wants and retcons stuff all the time (MARY). My issue with hunter Mike is that we know he was never drugged during his Manor game, and he gave up his revenge pretty quick. There's no real reason he'd need to become a hunter. Espc since by the time he'd become a hunter Marg and Weepy are alr dead. Unless sergei sends him crazy in the Manor??? Also. We already know Leo has a sirvivor form, he was made a hunter for refusing to write in the diary. I want hunter Mike but it wouldn't make sense. (Then again. I have beef with the hulabaloo timeline anyway. Mostly with Weepys timeline.)
Idv be changing things constantly very true. All I’d say is the hunter would at the very least be *perceptions* of Mike rather than his own transformation due to drugs mayhaps or at least a new hunter closely related to Mike’s backstory. Yes Hell Ember has a known survivor form (as others do too) but it’s not known that we will see him playable in game (though I don’t think no shadows = no possibility for identity switch anyway).
Mike may not be on drugs, but there are still other survivors who are. The drugs don’t turn survivors into hunters from their own perspective, but rather it changes other survivors perspectives of others. (Ie novelist seeing prospector as fools gold and journalist seeing novelist as nightmare, etc) while I do think not all survivors have hunter counterparts due to the possibility of others never seeing that cognitive version of them, and not all hunters having survivor counterparts due to simply being pure hallucinations of survivors who were, in the moment, fixated on a certain tale or research topic that greatly interfered with their drug induced cognition, doesn’t really discount survivors who didn’t take the drugs from having hunter counterparts.
I need an Aesop Hunter form… it would fit him so welll

Since game 0 story will be made after the circus story, helena hunter form gonna be coming with this story. Based on the lore, she likely the hunter in her own game.

I’m really hoping survivor Violetta comes with hunter mike especially if we’re getting cutscenes with all of them at the manor with this new circus event she should have a survivor model to fit in with them unless they just use her hunter form in the cutscenes
Yeah it would make sense since violetta was just a girl with no limbs who got prosthetics in order to perform. The drugs must’ve been a key part otherwise her hunter transformation so she has to have been a survivor. She will be very unique looking though.

Unfortunately Geisha is one of the few hunters that wouldn't work since we already know that she died a a while before the manor games even started. The only reason why Smiley Face and Evil Reptilian work is because their hunter versions were just them in a monstrous state, but still alive. The hunters that are either undead (Bloody Queen, Wu Chang, Gamekeeper, Disciple, Naiad, etc) or non-humans (Guard 47, Dream Witch, Feaster) can't really have survivor versions since they can't exist as survivors who were originally lured over to the manor with letters. The ones who I can see having a survivor form are Soul Weaver, Ripper, Mad Eyes, Clerk, Breaking Wheel, Sculptor, Wax Artist, and etc.
@@KL-ki8db Identity switches don’t have to be the same person according to the devs and many hunter visions are perceptions of a survivor from a drugged survivor’s view (likely why we have undead/eldritch beings in the game).
@@MINDSGUY That is true. They do say that, but I think it was more geared towards the protagonists of the game such as Orpheus as we are supposedly playing through his and little girl's POV, since we clearly know that the nightmare is a figment of his/the other survivors hallucinations. So far we only had the nightmare being a partial identity switch not actually being the OG character. It is harder to do for survivor version since survivor visions aren't really affected by hallucinations and are implied to be actually them. Hence why we so far only had Smiley Face and Evil Reptilian as survivor swaps since we know they never actually died before their hunter personas. Besides, I am pretty sure that IDV also announced that not every character will have an identity switch and frankly some hunter to survivor swaps are most likely to be not as likely since it would require rewriting the hunter as a living person before the games. It is much easier to write the survivor off as a hunter since they can evolve into monstrous beings during their times in the games like Prospector and Entomologist.
I would be a dedicated Melly main if she gets her hunter form, considering of her involvement in Ashes of Memory/Orpheus' nightmare.
I remember in the Alice devolopment video they said that in the future there would be a Hunter-to-Hunter identity switch much like the Survivor-to-Survivor identity switch for little girl and journalist
So maybe one of the 4 hunters that has a shadow would be another hunter form for them
I kinda wanna see mind's eye hunter form because I'm curious how her blindess will affect her gameplay.
I actually made a concept for her. Due to her relationship with galatea i think she would be one of galateas sculptures. Like one of those justice statues with the scale. And in her lore it says she becomes the main punisher of her game.

I feel like since she has a syringe it could work in the opposite way. Sort of leeching onto a surv and doing slow continuous damage. This would be a good counter against survivors who have good looping potential since it will cut it off short.

@@Calming_melody but she’ll have to get a hit in them first and it will be like a needle in them. They can slowly remove it to stop the slow damage kind of similar to how you can remove dream witch leeches or soul weaver webs or breaking wheel spikes.

It's very heavily implied as there's a letter where sullivan (her mentor) manipulated her or sth and she became hunter, where its said she's the only punisher in her game so idk also galatea may get a surv switch sooo yup
@@bloodyrosary yeah and gala doesnt even end up killing anyone and helena replaces her im pretty sure. Either gala or helena killed ada cuz orpheus escaped cuz he befriended them by killing emil and protecting them. Im hoping she becomes one of galatea’s statues in her hunter form since they have such a close relationship. One of those truth statues with the scale would be cool. I actually already made a concept for her and her abilities lol.
