Yes it can be played solo offline. You basically set up a 'local server' and are able to alter lots of parameters. I do find it kind of lonely playing solo vs online, the map is huge with a lot of empty space.

I like to play solo, and have the most fun with Conan exiles (more than with ARK). If you enjoy playing at your own rythm,not encountering random people and be amazed by the world,this game is for you
Lets take a moment to realize that the last Conan Exiles game was a huge disappointment, I hope this version improves it and lives up to the fans expectation
