Funny that Mark Holland is in charge of anything, but in particular this. He first came to prominence for criminalizing gun ownership. He should have left well enough alone and this problem would have taken care of itself. Guys in particular like to shoot themselves when the time comes, and most of the gun deaths are just that. Saves doctors from being compromised. I don't have a lot of sympathy for people who can't master the mechanics of this kind of thing. And there are lots of options that aren't "violent". But governments criminalized them and the people who helped others with their plans. So we are left with local dufus Mark Holland to carry the weight. They are putting it off for political reasons. They know it stains them red like their party colors, and they will wait until after the next election. If they happen to loose, then it is a great problem for the conservatives, whether they go ahead or not.
My older brother suffered from Schizoaffective disorder and was well-controlled for many years with the help of the healthcare system and medications. He revealed to me a number of years ago that he went through a period of time where he was severely depressed and thought of committing suicide. He didn't want to deal with his illness anymore. If he had had the option for assisted suicide he would have taken it instead of what happened - he was put on a new medicine that helped his depressive site and he lived his final years the happiest I had ever seen him. He passed a few years ago but I thank God everyday that I had him in my life until the end. No person with mental health issues should ever be allowed to make this life altering decision ever.
Some of these decision makers should don a pair of scrubs and witness some of these debilitating diseases first hand. There have always been mental health issues and with the way schools and parents have been working very hard to encourage a certain type of behavior, they have exacerbated these issues. Like what tf do people think what happened to people in a society that only values a certain way of thinking and behavior? Wtf happens to kids who are forced to think and behave a certain way.
Apparently, the West has a history or a tendency of trying to break quiet kids out of their personality. Parents and teachers have been doing this for decades, and they have done this with other types of behavior that certain people have. People should look more into that this
According to Trudeau, “Sunny ways, my friends sunny ways.” Silver spoon babies will never understand the struggle of living under hopelessness. I hope you are enjoying your preferred leader CBC and Liberal supporters.
Vancouver Downtown East Side developers are really bummed right now.
What is Soilent Green?
Soylent Green IS PEOPLE!!!!
It’s a miracle! The comment section is open 🙄.
This is just the beginning…. You’ll see down the road the consequences
Im glad they held it up, its gonna be abused by various services.
So we cant get treatment so we suffer
Ya, the righteous desire suffering. Just read some of their books. It's all there.
stop blindly trusting that govt and mainstream are good guys just cuz tv says so over and over
Funny that Mark Holland is in charge of anything, but in particular this.
Trudeau and his cabinet can go first
The only reason they’re “pausing” the service is because the public outcry has been too great.
Why are those some of those suffering long-term mental health problems being discriminated against?
Exactly
because we can be.
by not offered anywhere near proper care?
I knew it was too good to be true.
After working since I was 15, I'm on the verge of being homeless in Justin Trudeau's Canada. I need MAID, sooner than later.
Some of these decision makers should don a pair of scrubs and witness some of these debilitating diseases first hand. Some of the pain and suffering I have seen as a nurse in LTC is inhumane and and negligence at it's highest level. Yet we push nutrition and longevity of life so hard, by the time comfort measures are needed, its far too late. Wake up Canada
the problem is not the patient. it's abuse , people pushing those people to do it ....
Not paying your rent is not a debilitating disease.
Mark says the mental health crisis in Canada has not reached a nightmare level as yet, but it will. Don't know worry Mr Holland, the social conditions will be ready soon enough. Like most MMA fights that end in submission, just a little bit more pressure and time, and then the tapping out will commence.
A mentally ill person is a person who cannot make a correct decision and needs help to live his normal life, not to help him end his life.
With the appalling lack of decent mental health care, that's extremely difficult.
Should not EVER be available for mental health patients. Wrong on so many levels.
Tucker Carlson talks about this and it’s now a pause happens keep speaking up
My body, my choice
I tend to agree. There is a question of autonomy and not being forced to live a humiliating life that politicians like to avoid. People are going to keep hanging themselves in forests regardless of whether or not politicians keep quibbling on this issue.
For what?
Do a flip then and make sure to record it :D
@@i.hold.vertigo2329this option gives a person to get it done properly. Not messy. No trauma to the person who finds the body.
did you say the same about the injection extortion campaigns ?
We have lost morality
Completely!
Yes, we must force people to endure suffering.
Rename it> MAD.
technically...
YET Trudope can take an $80,000. holiday...TO HELL WITH THE PEOPLE THAT PAYS THE TAXES
My daughter was hit by a car 2 years ago and is on a 6YEAR WAIT LIST FOR PAIN CLINIC! IN CAnada.
Trudeau's Canada.
I was really looking forward to March 17th. Im genuinely disappointed, the idea that people aren't afforded the option to opt out of life is asinine. I didn't ask to be born, I feel like 41 years is enough for me. Ive tried medication, ive tried counseling, ive tried CBT, ive tried exercise. Im just not interested in being on this plain of existence anymore. I should be able to make that choice for myself.
It should be expanded to include our current Crime minister, administer it now!!
Because mental illness is STILL not treated as a biological illness, but as a choice. Never changes
It needs to be paused for(ever) for sure. People don’t want to live in nightmares, they just want a better life ;-;
thank you Tucker!
Why don't your videos link to the stories they're about?
This should not be offered. As painful as life can be. This is not going to do the good that it aims.
Humans need to stop playing God in so many areas its not funny.
Ahhhh...... Have you been reading the comments lately?
This Country has an extream mental health problem
Let’s expand it, in fact make it mandatory for liberal politicians
horribly dishonest headline.
does anyone at all from cbc know what conflict-of-interest is?
They should expand it to the homeless or unhoused and minimum wage workers sick of living in SRO drug infested rooms in the downtown eastside of anywhere in canada.
I have a deep seeded hatred specifcally for this reporter
I don't know why I have to say this. Eugenics is bad
They are protecting the federal cabinet from being qualified for the new program...
we'll do it the old fashion way then...
Comments ON, another win🎉.
I think the whole idea of MAID is evil in its very best diguise. Life can be painful, yes. Life as a whole is amazing and we are not supposed to start lives or end them. It would be very tempting to end your life qhen itsedicslly supported and you are in immense pain, that doesnt make it right.
I bet this guy likes to hear himself talk. What a goober
All failures will agree to this program theres alot of you
Trudeau getting desperate.
The Trudeau Liberals can't lose any more supporters.
Lmao I should hope so! Why would this even be considered??
So much for first world country hahahah
What the hell??? Disgusting absolutely despicable to even suggest this is an option.
Well isn't this hitting my world pretty big.love my brother and friends have that much power in your government and news.just a little question to ask you,do u people know where Arianna Lee Wark is or my son Trystin Jade Blundell is.please reach out and make sure there alive and ok.mental health concerns more like organized crime. Nope it's not just a sitcom and I want charges laid and they need sued as police don't accest screams from children.
This is the End of the world.
None of you have any right to claim "muh FreEdoMz" anymore you're actively taking mine away.
what freedom is being taken away from you?
Who is the judge of someone’s mental suffering? This is a choice like any other. It’s about autonomy. Why wouldn’t we help? Why does it have to be messy?
Gotta keep them potential voters, eh?
If someone has severe psychosis or horrible schizophrenia who medicine has not helped....that makes sense that we help them hoever they need. Hard to confirm thatedically tho
Mentally ill or hopeless
Journalists and media people should take advantage of this system, the majority of Canadians will support that.
What a tease, hurry up and get it done so I can sign up already.
this makes no sense
Surprise...
The Tucker effect
MAID is great for Canada 🇨🇦
False.
Suffering is suffering. No one should suffer.
killing is clearly not medical care for a person with depression
@@mentilly_all I know people who have suffered for years and would take a ticket off the planet tomorrow. Medicine doesn't help everyone.
Lol
Hahahahahahabababababa get off the air
H😂😂h😂😂😂h
