cannot believe these claims that she is fake, she is a "good Girl" and not a fake diva or bimbo. Has anyone else thanked their audience like Saara did?
All this nonsense about "not connecting", "being cold" etc is a form of xenophobia which makes even the most easy-going and warm-hearted artist feel cold if she is considered a threat, which Saara is.
In classical music, young Finnish artists are regularly being accused of coldness and this happens ONLY in the UK. The Brits push their fears shamelessly on anything and anyone they cannot control.

Now I too see xenophobic elements in their shows from time to time , but in no way it is "shamelessly", as it does not happen ONLY in the UK, English spoken shows are just far more accessible (something to be thankful for maybe?), you are mocking them while shows in your own country wouldn't be able to do it better, do realize that.
It's not from xenophobia. I get the same feeling from her. In VoF she was fine, but afterwards for example in UMK she gave the same fake vibe as she's giving here. I like her and I want her to be a successful megastar abroad, but I really do feel like she's putting on a bit of a persona and In some of the performances she does her voice conveys technicality, but no emotion. I'm not saying she's all fake or that she's doing it on purpose.
If someone sounds a bit xenophobic here it's you towards the Brits.

Me neither. Saara´s performances are by far the most watched on TH-cam, even surpassing Matt´s and she leads the latest tellymix poll. I don´t understand why this doesn´t convert into actual votes. It´s like her UK popularity doesn´t seem to reflect her global value at all.

Her singing is flawless, she hits every single note right and her performances are one of the best in the competition! Also she don't fake anything. In one interview she said that talking all the time english is challenging since she have to think all the time what she says before she speaks and it is not as natural as speaking her native language...that can make her also feel like little bit fake but she is anything but fake and people can leave that subject already.

Why do people expect Saara to behave according to their cultural definition of natural? They should try to compete in XF Finland, speak and sing in Finnish and experience how hard it is to be completely natural and behave "just like every Finn".
They could also look up Saara's youtube account and discover who she is when she's not bathing in the XF UK environment.
MetteC5, well, if you choose to compete in a country's show, then you have at least 'try* to adapt to their cultural definitions, that goes without saying ;) But IMO she has adapted reasonably well.
And what is a British way of natural? I mean, if she does that and tries to act your way of natural. Then everyone would blame her for being fake anyways. She is natural in her own way like everyone else in this Earth, and nobody should blame her for being herself.

The x factor uk airs in finnish television but it always airs 2 weeks later than in the uk. So a lot of finns rush to TH-cam to see her performances as soon as possible lol

Vocally she is the best singer this year but I actually agree with Louis. She seems fake, even arrogant, at times. The x-factor is missing. I think Saara would be best suited to sing opera and Broadway.
And it's a shame to be honest. She has obviously trained for years but she is missing something that can't be taught: Charisma.
And they should have pull back from the Tina Turner and maybe produce her like Celine Dion in Vegas, less moving with bad facial expression and stand still sing, hand motion, sing, arm pointing, sing, hit, sing.

i agree with you all (and i'm from finland so it's a pity). only time i've "felt it" was the first audition, i don't get her song choices at all! everybody knows she has a good voice so she should rather get the feeling there and not show just how good her vocal range is and show "she has the attitude of a popstar".

Actually, what makes her so frightening is that she can do it all. A rare bird who can choose what to do...
the whole "she can do it all" "sing everything" becomes problematic- because YES that is true about a lot of talented singers- but if you don't find your market, your genre it is hard to get grounding in the industry. so I'm speaking from a music industry side in terms of her future after this. that is just the harsh reality that i see her voice, her vocal styles to be better suited for west end and NYC. it is all over the top and her belting would do well there.

Looks like she listened to some of the critique. She sings much lower now than before. Her voice used to be quite squeaky at times.
We do not have that much ice and snow in Finland anymore, at least not in my hometown, like last year there hardly was snow at all, in Christmas, but it finally became in January. I'm ok with that though,I hate winter sports so much I can't even. And this was the most irrelevant comment in the history of X-Factor lol

bella west I love Motown. It's so exciting hearing everyone perform. My favourite performances tonight were: Saara, Relley C, 5 After Midnight. This song was a great choice for Saara. I love Tina Turner but this cover was awesome! You may not like this theme but many find it fun and exciting. Much better than 'Boybands vs Girlbands' for example. Hopefully 'Divas', '80s' or 'Disco' is next :)
So if the theme next week is Girlbands vs Boybands, they will sing 1D, Little Mix, Fifth Harmony songs?

There's something off about her performance. She has the technical ability to sound amazing, but for some reason she can't convey emotion with her voice. Her stage personality can also described as "trying a little bet too hard".

Saara is absolutely amazing and if this show was based on who sang the best like it used to be, she'd absolutely win. She slays every time when she's on the X factor and its obvious that she's giving x factor and the public her all and even more especially considering that she's a foreigner. She never deserved to be in the bottom 2 at all. She deserves to be number one and if Honey G makes it through one more time instead of her, I'm gonna pull out all of my hair. Seriously, she cannot rap well, her rhymes are something toddlers and children come up with and she's horrifically off key and out of breath. Its so ridiculous. I'm in the U.S and I love her Saara and I sincerely hope she sings an emotional song, strips back a little of the makeup and hair (not that she needs to anyway b/c she's gorgeous), and makes more facial expressions to help her connect with the British audience.
People seem to think that Saara is fake cause she is so happy all the time. But trust me, Finnish people wouldn't bother to pretend to be like that. Most of us aren't as excitable as she is, and personally I wish I could be more like that; get excited about things and show it openly. Also, she's been criticized for "shouting" instead of singing. But she isn't shouting, she's just belting it out and she has a very powerful voice. She honestly doesn't deserve the hate, she should be in the top 3 instead of the bottom 3. Seems like brexit has made the British public a bunch of xenophobic idiots. Go ahead and prove me wrong.
It still saddens me even now that my country tried to vote her out because of xenophobia. However though, it is apparent that the good people in Britain outweigh the idiots, otherwise she wouldn't have got the position of runner up. We're not all hardcore brexiteers you know.

Sadly there is no way Saara can avoid the bottom 3, but I hope she belts out another amazing ballad and shows her vulnerability and spectacular vocal range making it impossible for anyone with ears to not let her through. She brings so much to the show, she's got the talent! she needs all the votes possible.

I have no idea why she is not more popular than the others. I just don't know why. She has fantastic voice, is fun, interesting, theatrical with a great smile, great personality, I mean what is the problem with the voters? They prefer the breaking voice like Sam's every week? Terrible song choices. She has kind of an old voice and her temper is not the one of a youg girl, but a sweet and sometimes feisty granny. If you give her old fashionned songs like this one, they don't seem fresh. One should give her more or less new songs that can be challenged by her vocal abilities and made even better through her classy voice. Run, by Leona Lewis sounded great and totally her own.

Lance Wilson Actually, she's really talented with languages. She speaks several languages fluently, and has no trouble at all learning lyrics or singing in another language. Most Finnish people study quite a lot of English, but she's way above average :p

It's been an unwritten rule on these talent shows that you leave the big songs alone; ones sung by Mariah, Whitney, Aretha, Celine and Tina. Saara might as well just forget about the rule book altogether - she can take on any song and show it who's boss!
