I find it amazing that steam trains effectively aren't made and damn near never seen......and yet....I look at my 2 year old boy toys and he has 4 trains of various sizes all of the steam ones, never a modern train....Its like steam cannot die, it is so iconic, it is ingrained into children who may never see one. I find that amazing and Steam will flourish because of this.

Was lucky enough to do a driver experience course only a few months after the restoration. Thanks to my special partner Chris. A wonderful day

It took the isle of man government a few years to realise the value of that railway, now that they have it's a real joy to see

For many the sight, sensation and smell of a steam locomotive brings back memories of yesterday. For others the sight of the iron horse making its moves in the early morning to lace up with a consist of coaches for passenger service is a lifetime experience of steam, heat and occasional cinder.
Across this great Nation are those who are dedicated to seeing these gentle giants rejoin their ranks in Railroad Heritage. Take a moment to reach out to those organizations today to make a tax deductible contribution. Your donation (no matter the dollar amount) ensures these organizations, locomotives and their staff continue to prosper and educate the vital importance of steam restoration, operation and preservation.
"To experience steam is to no longer dream. As those who achieve are those who believe."

I have the Accucraft Scale 1 model of Caledonia, it is nearly as good as the original.

Does Caledonia still ever have issues with spreading the gauge due to her unique wheel arrangement?
