    Such a great tune Mike. Thank you. I love Randy so much so I got the chrome backpiece of Randy with his guitar engraved on it, the part with the 4 holes for screws that holds the neck in place. And I put it on my strat.

    Seems like a dumb question, but how can you turn it up loud? Basement? Soundproofing? I would love to be able to play it loud. Great video though man, cheers!

    thanks for this lesson Mike. Do you think Randy copied this fast pace song from Eddie? Like I hear songs like On Fire, and Atomic Punk how it's up tempo and fast paced and I think Randy copied him in a way!

    • @robertproctor7771
      @robertproctor7771 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Randy copied nothing!! ZERO ZIP NODDA a thing from any guitarist. He was a force all his own. And if Mike says YES he is FULL of SHIT.

    • @claytonmcdonald9520
      @claytonmcdonald9520 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      He had more God given talent than just about anyone else who's played a guitar. Nuff said.

      Inverted chord voicings like the diad and triad chord voicings were commonly used in this era, Micheal Schenker was an influence on Randy's playing....I dont think it was so much of randy copying riffs from Eddie but writing riffs that were popular of the genre at the time. They both played the club circuit in LA at the time in the late 70's. Even EVH touted Micheal Schenker as a driving force in that era when he was in UFO...so if anything, we can blame Schenker for this evolution lol IMO...

      @@robertproctor7771 actually, as much as I hate to admit it... the intro to diary of a madman is taken from "study VI" by leo Brouwer... he used the exact chords and sequences to write that song :(

  • @luisalmeida5831
    @luisalmeida5831 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    there's a slide in the verse , if you slide with the sweet chords it wold be perfect , good video and sound .

    • @robertproctor7771
      @robertproctor7771 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      luis ] Their is NO SLIDE what so ever in that song. Where you got that from would be in your wildest dream.

    • @alexanderholden82
      @alexanderholden82 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@robertproctor7771 the slide they are referring to in the verse riff is sliding with your fingers from the D chord to the E chord... easy to want to omit this part because it is a bit weird , but it makes all the difference when played.
