    Hi kids, I am very aware that I mispronounced Siser in this video, it happens! So please refrain from making rude comment about it, it's not helpful & I will just block you.

    thank you for this. I wanted to put a decal on my car window and started going thru the vinyl I had. some was marked but most wasn't. now just trying to learn how to tell what is what. I pretty much knew you meant Siser but wasn't familiar with some of the other brands you spoke of

      Thanks! My mispronouncing was getting some seriously nasty comments there for a while! You can label you vinyl with some masking tape, it helps!

    Thanks. I have some glitter htv from Tuesday morning, way cheap but no carrier sheet. Thx for showing that the Kraft paper becomes the carrier, but I am still confused as to how it will stick and hold without the plastic carrier sheet that comes with cricut, siser or silhouette. I guess try it out will show me, right. It was way cheaper so I guess I shouldn’t mind trying it out. Thanks again.

      Check out the video on cutting patterned vinyl-- it doesn't have a carried sheet with it & it sound like it might be cut the same way.

    Thank u so much for this video i am new and totally confused which vinyl to use. I tried to put glitter vinyl on a tumbler and it came out in one hand wash

      M V I’m glad you liked the video! You’ll probably get all sorts of answers about vinyl on tumblers. I would make sure that it’s a permanent outdoor vinyl for the tumblers, that what most people will recommend. Some people say they have no problems with it & will even put it through the dishwasher others swear that it just comes off. I’ve never put vinyl on a tumbler, so I’m not much help. The texture of the tumbler can cause problems too.

    I'm so confused, there are so many different types of Cricut vinyl etc. can you please tell me the exact name of the vinyl. I don't want to purchase an item just to tell what it is used or have to return it. Is there a way to tell by reading the package? What does the package say/look like for making Tee Shirts?

    • @MissMaryEmbroidery
      @MissMaryEmbroidery  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      For a t-shirt you will want to use a heat transfer vinyl. I'm pretty sure Cricut refers to it as Iron on but I believe they are the ones that call it that--most companies will call it Heat Transfer Vinyl (HTV).

    I have one that has one shinny side and the other said is matte but its like a film that comes off too how do I work with that ???

      liz ortiz what kind of vinyl is it? Htv? Adhesive? Is it the reflective vinyl? Most vinyl sellers have information on their vinyls, they might be able to help you.

      That's the one I am trying to figure out too. It takes soooo long to separate letters but I like the look and feel of it once I heat transferred it to a shirt / fabric. Once it stuck I peeled the film off, which was the easiest part in the process to me. Just hoping there's a simpler method cause surely I am doing something wrong. Oh, and it got stuck to the mat so it was difficult to peel off the mat too. A local shop in my town is hosting a free workshop soon so I will inquire more when I go.

      You just answered your own question by saying you heat transferred it on your things. What wrong with you?

    Hello questions if im trying to do pillow cases which htv would I use? I also have the cricut iron not a regular iron

    • @MissMaryEmbroidery
      @MissMaryEmbroidery  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would use something like Cricut Iron or Siser Easy Weed -- both would be soft for a pillow & you'd be able to out them on with a circut easy press. Hope that helps!

    Hi, thank you for sharing. I need to learn all this so it's Helpful. I'm interested in layering multicolorVinyl on the T-shirtIs there a buy know what you could print outA pattern I just ironed it on?

    • @MissMaryEmbroidery
      @MissMaryEmbroidery  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So technically to print on vinyl you would need a very expensive printer & ink. Sparkleyberry.com makes printed pattern vinyl, and they offer a service where they will print designs on vinyl for you. There are various T-shirt transfers on Amazon for your standard printers, but they have very mixed reviews.

      Wow! thank you so much for replying,
      that alone makes me say wow LOL
      I am going to look into that expensive printer and ink, but if I can afford it
      I'm going to Try transfer
      I just want the shirts to look like silk screen print and not a patch Again thank you so much for replying look forward to learning some more

      Jessica Salas you would need a Roland Eco-Solvent printer, I’m not sure how much, but they ain’t cheap! Good luck!

      My nephew owns one of those big machines and he got it with a student discount,,,,
      Bummer how we can't just do it without home printers technology is so advanced I'm sure in the near future will be able to print on our vinyl from home
