The way you produce the videos currently gives this viewer the feeling of sitting down to enjoy a well produced show that tells a story that is full of beautiful scenery that is difficult to find elsewhere. I always look forward to your show and feel fulfilled and content after watching. Please stay very close to the same format. Thank you for your time and dedication to your art.
There is a saying....if it is not broke, why fix it. Yours is one of the more enjoyable channels I subscribe to. Like the simplicity, honesty and the fact you do not try to sell me anything. Best of luck this year.
I’m a new subscriber only a couple of weeks in and I can’t believe I was fortunate enough to find this channel. This guys vids are outstanding; I can’t believe he’s not at least at 100k subs. Thanks for sharing your trapline with us. Cheers.
Loved the video! The new seal on the stove door is going to be so nice. I redone mine the year before last and boy did it help. Those birds eat better than I do. I’m amazed they are not too heavy to fly after you feeding them so well after a week. 😂 Happy little fellas I’m sure. 👍🏻 Man I really enjoyed getting to follow along out on the line. And congrats on the first fur of the year! For 29 minutes and 29 seconds my world was perfect. Thank you Norm. Thank you very much.
You know you are making great videos when a 30 minute video only seems like it was 10 minutes long. Thanks for sharing and taking us along for the ride 👍🏻🌲🪤
Great video. Next best thing to being there in that beautiful country. The format you use is engaging, entertaining & informative. Looks like there is a good sign of fur around. Best of luck & stay safe out there.
Love the content and the music at the end its like a dream awsome. For a trapper and outdoorsman from central Maine I want more and live vicariously through your videos thank you so much for what you’re doing!!
Thanks for the ride Norm. I always enjoy your trips out on the line. I hope I will be getting out too. Stay safe and have the time of your life. Dave in Alaska
As always I enjoyed the ride. But I am hoping it snows a lot, sooner than later!! A lack of snow seems to be the norm this year, all across Canada. Here in the Ottawa valley there is little to no snow. Looks like colder weather coming down from the far north.
Hey Norm. I enjoy your video's and look forward to new postings. Your current format that shows life at your cabin with all the trials, tribulations and enjoyment is great. All aspects from preparing for the season to end of season close up is interesting to watch. Your commentary is very good and imagine it must be tough to talk to a silent guest. Keep it up and I look forward to your regular weekly postings!
U honestly have one of the best content videos out there. I don’t understand why u don’t have more subs . People don’t know what there missing. Keep up the good work.
Norm your looking good my man. And your breathing is so much better than last year. Good for you my man. You’ve lost quite a bit of weight from the looks of it. Well done. You must feel better.
Norm :: Great video again. Perfect job. Well documented. You definitely know how to tell a story and keep us entertained. Looking forward to the next video. Thankyou for your time.
Thanks,Norm for another great ride along. Enjoyed the beautiful landscape shots and sunset. Like how the microphone picks up the cackling fire and crunching snow audio. Just very well edited and very good narration. Just have always enjoyed watching and always look forward to my next visit to the cabin! Take care and hope you have a very good year and harvest.
Another excellent video Norm. Thanks for allowing us to get a glimpse of this beautiful part of the world, it's unbelievable. Looking forward to what lies ahead, take care and safe travels.
So nice to see you back on the trails Norm. Looks like ROUGH going for sure, and with the hotter temps its gonna make ya burn off some pounds there. haha Looks like that one Martin is getting around getting ya all excited. Great video Norm.
Beautiful scenery! The river is so flat, too bad that’s not where your travelling. Stay safe and watch those stumps. Thanks again for sharing and taking the time to produce these vids.
Norm glad to see you out to the trap line. I certainly could not see where the old trail was glad you knew, I kept crashing into trees. I like the format you've created just as it is, it is something I'll never be able to do just wish I could! Charlie
Glad you got your machete out !! I was telling you to!!! Keep it Sharp, rub some oil into the blade. You’re seeing a lot more sign than last year ( mostly marten ).. Hope you catch a white fox or badger( ??? Forgot name: doing quite a bit of that)….. Keep spare warm cloths with you in case of emergency Norm… Doing great. Have fun! Happy New Year🥳 B Deacon Manitoba Canada 🇨🇦

Norm, i dont know what you have for a saw but Silky big boy would do perfect in your situation instead of moving trees they cut awesome ive used them for years now highly suggest picking one up nice and light work great and you dont have to strain yourself moving full trees
Glad to see you are back on Norm. Hey Norm, is Dave ok , from Trapping World? Haven't seen him on. I see the last video was a couple years ago. I think the last time I saw him he came out with you. Hope you have a good, safe Season out at the Cabin. Thanks for sharing still.
With all your daily chores and activities, do you have to pen and paper , out a list of things to do , to keep track of it all...or is it become a seasonal habitual routine for you ??
I run a Skandic WT 900 ACE. I have a question about the trapper toboggan. It seems to me that this set up with runners and the box being only a few inches off the snow is "plowing" the snow rather than "skiing" or Gliding over the snow. If the front of the box was curved, it could achieve this effect. I have Trapper toboggan that I got from Fur Harvester that works pretty well, with a lot of modifications.
Norm, how much phone reception do you have throughout your traplines? Do you carry snowshoes as well in case of breakdown/being stuck and can't get out?
How much gas do you have to bring in with you to maintain everything running & how many loads are just fuel? Obviously it takes a fair amount of gas to keep everything operational.
In watching all these videos, it amazes me people are still chopping wood in the winter ! It’s no secret Winter comes the same time every year. You should already have this year’s wood cut and stored,
Norm, please don't ever change what you are doing, it's so well put together and damn interesting to boot!
Looks like everyone wants it to stay this way. 👍👍

Yes for sure. They can be mounted on the skidoo. I’ve thought about it.
What brand of head lamp is that? Looks so bright
It’s a NEBO Jocelyn
How's the back? Hope it isn't bothering you any. Does your GPS have a tracking function?
Back was just stiff a bit, all good now. Yes it has tracking Maketo
Simply beautiful country

Norm, how much phone reception do you have throughout your traplines? Do you carry snowshoes as well in case of breakdown/being stuck and can't get out?
0 cell service, I carry an inreach. It’s sitting on my skidoo on the handle bars. Or I carry it. I will show my survival gear at some point.

Thanks Darrell
How much gas do you have to bring in with you to maintain everything running & how many loads are just fuel? Obviously it takes a fair amount of gas to keep everything operational.
45 gallons of gas per trip. Last about two weeks.
So roughly 400lbs of fuel. That's a lot of weight! Don't leave much room for cookies eh?

I've learned that I have to do today what allows me to do it again tomorrow!

Looks like your back is a lot better. Do you have a preference between catching Martin or Fox or what is your preference?
Oh yes, marten for sure. Better pay.
