Start items: Slippers of Agility, Stout Shield, Quelling Blade - Go mid, and regain health with your "W" passive. Then: Get phase boots and PM-Shield, just keep farming or rush to bot/top if there is heroes with very low HP and just ult them or rush at them. After that, get Vladimirs aura. After that: Get Sacred relic and work towards Radiance. When fighting enemy heroes Radiance will kill creeps with regens your health. It will come in very handy. After that you can start ganking as your damage is insane this early in the game, assuming you have farmed well. After that: Get hyperstone, and work towards cuirass, or if you often have to chase instead of fighting tanks, pick another relic and work towards abyssal blade, or if you are leading big already, Rapier. After that: around 20-30 minutes into match, start finishing all the towers off, farm a bit more and keep ganking enemies down. Watch out for stuns. Get Eye of Skaadi as an end item, and just run around and murder every hero you can see. Nothing can stop you now. After that: Play around or finish game. This build have given me a 15+ win streak in ranked solo. : ) I usually get 25+/0-2 in KD. Max I've got with this build: 34/0/14 KD.
I prefer usually a mjollnir build before radiance. Why? Because you don´t need to change your build if you are trying to get a fast radiance but you can´t for any reason. I prefer buy a mjollnir because in a tf or when u dive into a creep wave mjollnir works same as radiance, when the enemy turret or their creeps are hitting you with mjollnir´s effect, u will kill creeps, u will regen ur hp and u will deal more damage like a radiance, and it doesnt turn useless at late game.
The thing that is so good with radiance is that it can kill creeps when you are fighting which heals you, and when you are chasing someone it constantly deals damage to the enemy. :)
It must have looked so silly when i klicked on the video, heard "Helloeverybodythisispurge" and just smiled cause it has been so long since i heard this...good to see you Purge!
Well I don't know about dota as nearly as Purge but as someone who likes and plays blood seeker a lot I think having more mana between level 6-11 is absolutely crucial for him .Like you can see here he definitely is gonna have annoying mana issues and Urn is not enough. I recommend 5-6 clarities or if you wanna delay the force staff buy the staff of wizardry part as soon as you can. For me clarities are a must have almost every game I play blood. So cheap and so effective.
Agh's makes it so Doom's duration doesn't time down when within 550 range of Doom Bringer. It's currently only in Dota 1 if I'm not mistaken. The patch version is 6.78 if you're looking to google it.
"Oh Thats right Medusa got a rapier at this point. We're all like, 'Medusa don't get a rapier.' And she's like, 'I'm getting a rapier.' And then she got a rapier." -Purge
Wow I play BS sooo diff. I start with tengo, quelling blade, stout shield. Then into poor mans sheild, boots, venom orb. Then power treads, helm of the dominator, sange and yasha. Then mjollnir, satanic. Then dadilus if there's time. I average 15-25 kills per game with that build. Ive maxed out at 32 kills in one game.
At least you don't get force staff. Your build is perfectly fine, other than the Sange and Yasha. You are better off with a Yasha then building a Basher>Abyssal. Sange gives you very little, and Basher gives you more damage and nearly as much health.
That's what I always end up building up on him. After you've got a Yasha>Manta, and its too late for a Radiance, I farm up a BKB if I need it then straight to the Basher>Abyssal. The lack of a stun on this hero is a huge weakness, and grabbing Abyssal covers that up and gives you a great damage increase.
I start with Quelling Blade, Stout Shield, Salve and some branches. Then I build them into Poor Man's Shield, Phase Boots, Wand, Aquila and Preservance. If I am playing aggressive I don't buy S&Y. I some times buy Desolator. But I always buy BF. It works great with me. Then Abyssal (Anti TP), Heart , Moon Shard consumex.
Purge, this was too long a wait man. Thanks for raising my quality of life to the point where I am complaining about the lack of free entertainment made by a specific person on the internet (no entitlement).
Actually, yes. Rupture will not work if the target instantly travels further than 1300. Maximum swap cast range is 1200, meaning it will always trigger rupture damage, inflicting a pure damage nuke of 720 at most. Also i believe rupture also always works with Pudge hook, because the target doesn't travel instantly, even though the max range is greater than 1300.
I think magic wand is a bit expensive for what it would have given me. At most, a magic stick(not wand) would have been due. I def could have gotten a stick against mana drain though.
My favourite thing about Bloodseeker is using his ult on an Antimage during early/midgame in pubs because they love blinking in to kill supports during teamfights or blinking away to escape ganks and suddenly they are dead.
I know you haven't really asked for my oppinion, but i believe blademail in all cases is a situational item. I do agree it is very useful on necro when you go against melee atackers, it increases your chances to stay alive and is a good combo with your heal/damage atack.
yes, if they have some dots (damage over time effects) on them. Works with venomenous gale (venomancer), sting (qop), DOOM (doom) and some other ones, but not with all dots. But before u start denying everyone, check if they have a chance to survive first. I got quite mad, when there was a guy on my team, who denied people instead of using his mek.
By looking at his skill set, he's naturally a ganker. By the time you reach level 6, rupture+bloodrage combo pretty much gonna shut down a hero. On the other hand, your only way to push is by right clicking. Sure once you get like battle fury or radiance it's easier to push, but so does every other hero with that item. Your job in the early game as BS is to get as much cs as possible and gank when your ult is up. Getting level of bloodbath depends on how much harass you're getting in your lane.
I am completely in love with Bloodseeker. I manage to keep getting like 25 to 4, and in my last few games I have been getting 20 minute radiances. He has two completely rigged passives aswell.
scared to cast their spells on you because they get it returned to them. Often, the fear factor alone wins some fights/nets some kills. Second reason: it completely negates the double edged nature of bloodrage, because any damage increase on your target, or whoever you chose to silence, is returned straight back to them. Once the kill is made, you get a ton of hp back anyway, so it's THE perfect item for bloodseeker. Urn is also a great pickup, Purge is spot on there.
Lol he has a good mix of both where he plays with very little talking and like these videos, where he puts out a lot of information. People have been asking for these types of videos lately, so yeah xD
Blood Rage is his silence, it has a long duration (6 secs lvl 1) and does dmg over time (20 dmg) but increases the dmg output of the target, so its not the best to use on high dmg dealers
What do you mean ? I don't remember Phreak, isn't part of the Riot team ? Purge is a known caster, a "noob friendly" one, that casts a lot of games to explain each and every hero, every day (or almost). :)
well it's just one of the reasons for why he fits a bit more into the ganker role than the hard carry role. i mean, dont get me wrong, he can definitely carry, but i find him more effective as a early-mid heavy ganker, than a farming carry.
You can only deny an ally with rightclicks if the ally is under the effect of dooms ult or QoPs or venos Q ability. Alternatively you can deny allies with bloodseekers Q or banes nightmare. for this they don't need to be under any other effect. Also selfdenying with bloodstone active is possible or with pudge rot, alchemist stun, abaddon Q, or the abilities from BS or bane
I don't think urn is bad, in fact I like it. I do think damage items are something that you have to get as bloodseeker though. casting blood rage on yourself is also so important to increase your dps late game as well.
Yeah, although I think Doom's sceptre upgrade and general buff is neat, I think Necrolyte's sceptre upgrade will have a bigger effect on the game in general. I think the QB change is neat, so if you happen to get an all melee team, its ok to deward. I dont think the ward nerf is bad per se, but it is going to be pretty damn annoying.
What the balls. So many awesome Ahganims buffs on that patch. And a lot of huge changes to item-related things. That bottlecrow and ward nerf is interesting. Also, QB now allows melee to kill wards uphill >_>
Some heroes which get naturally destroyed by early blademails: Antimage (oh you got manta? too bad I don't care), Shadow Fiend (til he gets bkb, but some less smart SFs don't get BKB), Lycan (particularly devastating because his manfight is scary as fuck, again only before he gets BKB tho), etc. Anyone who doesn't go straight for a BKB, you can absolutely destroy them with constant Rupture + Blademail combo, doesn't even matter if you have to cast level 4 bloodrage to stop them blinking away.
That Dusa was soloing the hard lane against a Jugg (a really good early-mid game aggression hero). Not exactly ideal. I give props to her for still getting farm despite the shitty lane.
In my experiences, I have found Australian to be the least Russian of all servers (with the exception of South African servers, as I have never found a match on those servers for any mode). But as others have stated, it's determined by his ELO or whatever.
I've actually been playing DOTA 1 since WC3 and been playing the genre since Aeon of Strife. For DOTA 2 I have 1000+ hours, maybe you don't know who you're talking to. After playing some bloodseeker games recently, I am 15 wins / 21 total in very high skill brackets with public matchmaking.
I usually start with a tango, slippers of agility, stout shield and 2 branches. I get treads, magic wand and then rush Yasha for a S&Y, then go for Butterfly once I get heavily fed in the gank phase. If there's more time then I go for an Abyssal.
I tend to find that pubstomping is hilariously fun with this hero. I just crush everyone, since no one seems to know what Rupture does, and people get greedy and don't run to the fountain when they're near death, which means I can get fed easily.
Oh yeah, and my best K:D with this build, when I had a solo Crystal Maiden against me, soloing on dire top, is 40:1, when I got fed so hard and no one knew what Rupture did, and thought the fact that I silenced myself was something that would work in their favor. It was an amazing game, and we won by a lot, even though the opposing Venomancer mowed down the rest of my team about 10 times, and I killed him maybe twice. Level 25 by the 30 minute mark, too.
Hey Kevin. Can't you change the video-format, so it is able to be played on a smartphone? I used to watch your other videos on my phone, but I can't see this one.
I like to rupture and then throw the enemy with one of my items. I can't remember what it is called. That usually gets them down to half health and I get my bonus attack and speed. From there, it is easy to attack and make them run, thus killing themselves. Is that a common strategy? Edit: I guess this guy went that route too.
There was a new update, 6.78, released yesterday (I think). You can check it out on playdota for more info. They've added new heroes and made some pretty big and good changes imo.
I play this champion ALOT he is very effective against experienced players as well as long as you are experienced as well. Just a tip get a force staff =)
I dont know what you want to call it because ive only been playing since feb, but i like to go high dps with BS. In my game last night i went phase boots, poor mans shield, desolator, mkb, battle fury and daedalus. by end game i was critting for 1900 dmg with bloodrage. A pudge with 5k health was going down in 3-5 hits. End game Kill/Death was 32 - 6 - 13. Thats how i play BS ;)
I always level up Bloodrage first, that dot + silence is not to be understimated! Just get an early Soul Ring for mana and spam that on enimies. Just be careful with enemies like Kunkka that have a cleave attack.
indeed, i didn't think it would happen.. gotta check that out machine gun sniper, sounds fun xD thanks for being reasonable! btw, you probably need to point out that the machine gun sniper is a fun build only, and you shouldnt get as much crap for it lol
Ask yourself, why doesn't everyone get blademail? Because people just run away when you turn it on. What does rupture do? Stop people from running away. Blademail means that if the enemy tries to manfight you, they get instagibbed basically. It's the second item I get, after treads, when I play this hero. It's especially useful against casters, because they can be tricky if they manfight you using stuns etc. It also means that when you go up against multiple heroes, the supports will be..
No, you can just flat out kill them if they are below a certain HP. I know this from personal experience when my friend wanted me to kill him so he could pop his aegis.
Dealing 300 damage per hit won't help if you get ethereal-ed or trying to kill someone who's in ethereal form, or if you get disarmed and shit. They had a Pugna and a Lion so he needed to use Bloodrage to silence either one of them to make them less effective, therefore unable to get the damage steroid for himself. (Plus Pugna has decrepify)
The only reason they say that about a lot of heroes ("every other her can do better") is because they find comfort in the current meta and don't want to bother thinking how underused heroes would be played effectively. Gotta think outside the box of other people's quotes dude. Also, you're never gonna learn anything if you stop watching like that (after a person misses one ult, even if they hit spot on all other times).
Start items: Slippers of Agility, Stout Shield, Quelling Blade - Go mid, and regain health with your "W" passive.
Then: Get phase boots and PM-Shield, just keep farming or rush to bot/top if there is heroes with very low HP and just ult them or rush at them. After that, get Vladimirs aura.

purge, fantastic to have you back! hope you had a great week doing whatever else you were doing!

the amount of knowledge you have off the top of your head for this game is staggering.

"It's really important to save your abilities for really useful uses."
Purge, 5/30/2013
When i search for Bloodseeker gameplay i find it in "Sugest", kkkkkk. CooL.
Nice! Ty Purge.
Some of those Force Staff maneuvers on yourself were clutch as hell.
"Rrrrrruuuubick, the Grrrrrrrrraaaaaand Magnus". What my brain says everytime I see Rubick
for the record we missed that mustache
I MISSED YOU GUYS TOO
I fell asleep watching this game, and I could still hear it in my dream, dota causes sistress

Don't let anybody bring you down man, looking forward to more videos.
He's done Meepo before, but I agree that another time around the micromanagement merry-go-round would be cool. :D

have you seen the 6.78 changelog? I really like some changes like fixing spirit bear/cogs/open wounds/agh's reaper's scythe
scared to cast their spells on you because they get it returned to them. Often, the fear factor alone wins some fights/nets some kills. 8:20 "For really useful, umm, uses" - Purge 2013.
PURGE YOU ARE BACK OMG SO HAPPY WE MISSED YOU PURGE
Can not comprehend this, but installs dota 2. :D
Blood Rage is his silence, it has a long duration (6 secs lvl 1) and does dmg over time (20 dmg) but increases the dmg output of the target, so its not the best to use on high dmg dealers
47:20 "This is largely, probably the Midas is honestly." -Purge 2013
Purge is finally back I was about to go into withdraws! Also my favorite hero!
That Rubick had some many great Ultimates to steal.
bonus armor from thirst, ult now dispels target and goes through magic immunity (damage is HP loss now), this makes him even better ganker
What do you mean ? I don't remember Phreak, isn't part of the Riot team ?
Purge is a known caster, a "noob friendly" one, that casts a lot of games to explain each and every hero, every day (or almost). :)
It's been like... 3 days manI missed you!
well it's just one of the reasons for why he fits a bit more into the ganker role than the hard carry role. i mean, dont get me wrong, he can definitely carry, but i find him more effective as a early-mid heavy ganker, than a farming carry.
I always do force staff as a first item( if there is a freefarm so I go for radiance). Force is the best..helps you with kills, helps you escape.
At least once in this replay, Purge saved an enemy by pushing them into their own fountain using force staff
bloodseeker build IN THIS ORDER: stout shield, quelling blade, tangos, treads, yasha, basher, sange or shadow blade, bkb if needed, butterfly, radiance
Man I hope theres a VOD coming of that moustache shaving :p
Hey Purge, some thoughts about a dagon rush on this guy? Hunting their carries/instagibing any lone support all over the map?
jesus, 240p??
You can only deny an ally with rightclicks if the ally is under the effect of dooms ult or QoPs or venos Q ability. Alternatively you can deny allies with bloodseekers Q or banes nightmare. for this they don't need to be under any other effect.
Also selfdenying with bloodstone active is possible or with pudge rot, alchemist stun, abaddon Q, or the abilities from BS or bane
yes. down 1 second each time from 10 to 5. It is often a viable option late game to sell the bkb and buy a new one if needed and you have the gold
I don't think urn is bad, in fact I like it. I do think damage items are something that you have to get as bloodseeker though. casting blood rage on yourself is also so important to increase your dps late game as well.
Roses are red
Violets are red
Everything is red
BLOOD FOR THE TWINS!
Yeah, although I think Doom's sceptre upgrade and general buff is neat, I think Necrolyte's sceptre upgrade will have a bigger effect on the game in general. Yeah purge, you have bin brought back to life!
Thanks for the vid purge !:D appreciate it alot:3
Some heroes which get naturally destroyed by early blademails: Antimage (oh you got manta? too bad I don't care), Shadow Fiend (til he gets bkb, but some less smart SFs don't get BKB), Lycan (particularly devastating because his manfight is scary as fuck, again only before he gets BKB tho), etc. Anyone who doesn't go straight for a BKB, you can absolutely destroy them with constant Rupture + Blademail combo, doesn't even matter if you have to cast level 4 bloodrage to stop them blinking away.
Yay! So happy you're back!
@Purge what do you think of an quick Basi Ring on blooseeker? I have always felt that it means no mana issues with an urn, for 503 gold
Only under the effect of several abilities. Doombringer's ultimate, Queen of Pain's DoT, Venomancer's Gale and few others.

Force staff would be better, cuz u will get instant kill but depends on heros hp. And why phase is better than treads? :)
Hey Kevin.
Can't you change the video-format, so it is able to be played on a smartphone? I used to watch your other videos on my phone, but I can't see this one.

my god, finally a new video, where have you been purge?
There was a new update, 6.78, released yesterday (I think). You can check it out on playdota for more info. They've added new heroes and made some pretty big and good changes imo.
you summed me up in one sentence babycakes ;) good job
Would a Soul Ring be good for clutch mana restore? Considering that you can heal up easily anyway? Or you don't need that much mana?
Blood seeker with boots of travel, armlet and heart is a good combo
I play this champion ALOT he is very effective against experienced players as well as long as you are experienced as well. Just a tip get a force staff =)
I lol'ed.
Side note: I think Kunkka's harassment options are just fine, the goddamn range on that tide-bringer is just stupid.
RIP purge moustache,
Like this if you shave every tym.
That Doom update holy shit
I'm building Aghanims every game I don't care holy shit so gooooood
I dont know what you want to call it because ive only been playing since feb, but i like to go high dps with BS. In my game last night i went phase boots, poor mans shield, desolator, mkb, battle fury and daedalus. by end game i was critting for 1900 dmg with bloodrage. 8:10 that sand king got slammed XD
I always level up Bloodrage first, that dot + silence is not to be understimated! Just get an early Soul Ring for mana and spam that on enimies. Just be careful with enemies like Kunkka that have a cleave attack.
Finaly a video, Thank you Purge :D
FINALLY A NEW VIDEO FROM PURGE! :,D
indeed, i didn't think it would happen.. gotta check that out machine gun sniper, sounds fun xD thanks for being reasonable! btw, you probably need to point out that the machine gun sniper is a fun build only, and you shouldnt get as much crap for it lol
PURGE YOU'RE BACK
They have boost Bloodseeker's silence 80%damage to 120%. It's crazy the damage he deals now.
It also means that when you go up against multiple heroes, the supports will be..
excited, im sad you haven't made a video in a week
No, you can just flat out kill them if they are below a certain HP. I know this from personal experience when my friend wanted me to kill him so he could pop his aegis.
I got a question for you Purge..
Is getting stats over more levels in bloodrage worth it?
Dealing 300 damage per hit won't help if you get ethereal-ed or trying to kill someone who's in ethereal form, or if you get disarmed and shit. They had a Pugna and a Lion so he needed to use Bloodrage to silence either one of them to make them less effective, therefore unable to get the damage steroid for himself. (Plus Pugna has decrepify)
PURGE'S ALIVE
The only reason they say that about a lot of heroes ("every other her can do better") is because they find comfort in the current meta and don't want to bother thinking how underused heroes would be played effectively. Gotta think outside the box of other people's quotes dude.
Also, you're never gonna learn anything if you stop watching like that (after a person misses one ult, even if they hit spot on all other times).
