Great video! I think it's one of the best I've seen on this topic. There are a crazy number of varieties of coffee here in Australia. It seems like you can customise almost everything at some cafes. If I want a coffee with milk, I can get a flat white, latte, or cappuccino. I can choose a certain number of spoonfuls of sugar. I can choose full cream, skim, soy, or almond milk. Sometimes I can choose ice or hot coffee as well. I can choose the size, obviously. At some places, I might be able to choose which kind of beans they use. I can also choose things other than sugar to put in the coffee, like cinnamon, turmeric, vanilla, chocolate... It's totally crazy. I'm glad I don't have to know how to order anything too unusual to get what I want if I go to Korea!
For some reason, in Sydney where I live, there are a lot of cafes run by Koreans as well. Unfortunately, they will probably think I'm crazy if I try to order in Korean since I look the opposite of someone who is going to speak Korean. Maybe I'll try it anyway. Thank you for making this video!

Annyung, Fluglecheese! You can also customize your drink at Starbucks in Korea, but.... WOW, the customization in your country seems to be on another level!! 😮😮 콩(bean)까지 고를 수 있다는 게 정말 신기해요! Oh, and speaking of cafes, is it true that there are almost no Starbucks in Australia? 호주에서 제일 유명한 카페 브랜드(brand)는 뭐예요?
Haha I can imagine how surprised they will be if you order in Korean- But I'm sure it'll be a pleasant surprise- 한번 도전해보세요! 화이팅!! 😉

Hahaha always love the cosplay, and Jessica's 외국인 accent 😂😎 이 레슨은 진짜 큰 도움이 돼요!! Now we can move on from just saying "이거 주세요" to the next level~ 그리고 "아아"란 줄임말은 재밌어요 ㅎㅎ 캐나다에서는 커피를 시킬 때 가장 자주 쓰는 줄임말은 아마 double-double일 거예요. It means a regular coffee with 2 sugars and 2 creams at Tim Hortons (the most popular coffee shop franchise in Canada). So I usually say, "Can I have a double-double to go, please?" ☕️

    • @santoverse

I'm the total opposite of the iced americano people : I drink my hot caramel macchiato or matcha tea latte EVEN IN SUMMER. yes even if there's like 30°C outside. if I get my favourite drink it'll always be hot! (maybe I can make an exception for the matcha latte)
thanks a lot for this! I've been staying in Japan for 8 months so I'm used to their "iced or hot" (so "hotto") and I completely forgot how to say HOT in korean
This is a good reminder for me now I'll feel less anxious ordering my drink 😎

Let me tell you... in university I was really into Kpop and Korean culture. I never heard of iced americano before then, but I knew it was so popular in Korea. So one day before class, I grabbed a hot americano because finally I wanted to see what all the Koreans were raving about. I got to class and when I took a sip... lol I was very disgusted! I took fake sips throughout class because in my head people were watching if I drank the coffee, but in actuality, no one cared. lol Anyway, finally when class was over i went to the restroom and dumped it. Back then I only liked sweet coffee drinks, but now I will drink any coffee, bitter or sweet. Now, americano is funnily one of my go-to drinks! It's funny how things change...
