Yeahhh, I noticed that too. Makes you wonder a little bit. I mean, maybe this happened awhile back when they weren't filming and wanted to recreate it. But while my FJ isn't without some limitation, I have taken mine up muddy inclines slightly steeper than the incline they are on and it's gone up and over just fine. It's a little strange. Also kind of wonder if it's a 2 wheel drive instead of a 4 wheel drive.

So, that means there might have been frost on the hill making for very slick conditions. I live in the south and the couple of times I went up those inclines, it was 110 degrees outside. Also, have my FJ lifted.

Oh, you’re killin’ me with the teasers on the last 2 videos. So excited to see the reveal to Ed. There have been so many hours invested in rebuilding the Nugget and Rokon plus the trailer.
At first I thought you guys would take the adventurous route and lower the truck cliff. I ended up in exactly the same sort of situation in a 65 Scout back in the late 70's as a teenager. We did a self extraction by using the winch on the front of the scout to drop it off a cliff about twice as tall as the Scout was long in order to get down to the road at the bottom of the ravine. The winches in those days weren't anything like the modern ones, but surprisingly, the Scout, and I lived to tell the tale. Life is so much easier now that there are people you can call like you to come and bail you out of the pickles you might encounter along the "road" Appreciate your sharing the adventure. Can't wait for the big reveal.

Ed has always been a very welcome addition to the videos, I love his personality and energy. He's got that old guy humor too. Love it. Edit: also I that FJ climb distance was pitiful for what it is, and how much it costs.
Wow! An FJC driver cliffed out. Unbelievable!! I would never to that with and to my FJC. Always scout the route if the trail looks sketchy, and definitely when going cross country in the iffy spots.
Judging by how it performed, it likely is stock, with street tires, and looked to have just been bought and what came to mind is likely a poser vehicle, meaning, it looks brawny and capable, but is not.
those look like stock tires, and no lift. with lifts and mud tires, all it probably needed was a counter balance on the front to keep the tires planted.
It didn't seem like the FJ had all of it's bells and traction whistles engaged at first. When everything is active, like ATAC and low range, my 2008 was amazing where it would go. I spoke too soon because later on Hillbilly must have turned everything on as the FJ was having no problem going up about a 40 degree (or more?) slope on it's own steam. That's the FJ I remember.

I have an old 75 Rokon. I also have several other 4 wheelers and dirt/ road bikes. That old Rokon is my favorite though. Slow as hell, but it'll go straight up a wall.

That bike reminds me of 2 stories where I showed up my brothers. One brother bought a gas scooter once and wiped out. I took it for a spin and came back smooth. I had never ridden one before. Last year my other brother bought an electric bike and wiped out twice. I took the bike out and quickly realized that the brake lines were crossed which prevented me from wiping out!
