you can also use the oils drop 1 tier higher sextant, it's usually cheap on trade, you can get several gold oils per pump
I keep getting a ton of blights recently, since 3.23, that spawn 2-3 portals right next to the pump (regardless of how open the map is) and just dump monsters straight into it. All of a sudden I'm failing them left and right.

An amazing combination are Unending nightmare deliriums combined with blight in maps, especially if you get a lot of lanes
Hey @Zizaran, always loved your guides throughout the years.
I would love if you could include some mention in your build guides, what league mechanic the build excels at, and what it's very poor at.
There are 2 main categories builds fall into in PoE: big single target or big AoE. Choosing a build for a specific league mechanic is as easy as asking "what damage profile do I want?" and "what playstyles do I enjoy?" If you can't answer these questions on your own, the build guides on Ziz's channel tell you explicitly.
There are smaller subcategories of builds designed for targeted farming but 95% of the playerbase will never need a build that niche and would be better served picking a well-rounded build.
my main problem with blighted maps is the decline of fps from 75 to 12 as the lanes get thick and i can no longer react well lol

No joke Ziz, I just unitentionally finished a juicy t16 blight ravaged (with only 3 oils) for the first time ever (3k hours) with your strat - I didn't realise it wasnt just a regular blight until this seasons achievement popped up hah
I think Blight is still my favourite league mechanic of all time. I'm weird though!
is there any setting that improves performance? blight, harvest and other mechanics have really bad performance
Can I have the same blight mod on both rings? Or do they not stack?
They recently fixed the screen-and-a-half thing with towers not activating!
I dont even know what new players and PoE players in general would do without you/this channel. it's CRAZY.
@zizaran from testing this league so far, the tower seem to work off screen.
Sometimes I’ve been getting blight mobs that just kinda power through the chill/stun towers and hit the pump because they’ve been empowered by the various affliction dusts, is there a good way to deal with them or should I just be mindful of not doing both the affliction and the blight in the same map? Thanks for the vid either way
there are 2 map affixes you can roll that are countering the tower strat: monster movespeed cannot be lowered and monsters cannot be stunned
I don't think there's a good solution right now.. the affliction mechanic buffs things way out of proportion once in a while. Maybe getting the node with double health for your pump can help deal with a few running through. I really hope they nerf the affliction buffs for mobs a bit, it's really messing up my league fun :d
Interresting video. I do have one question though: How do you turn your first map into one of these? I mean, when you just came to maps after the campaign and want to try it out.
Clearly, someone would not have all of these oils in the first place when they starts :)
someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think normal blight maps can be dropped randomly, albeit a bit rare, the best approach is to either find blight in a normal map or force it on the map with a scarab or with the portal/map crafting mechanic where you pay some chaos to force a particular mechanic, that's because since they usually drop blighted maps, and ravaged blighted maps drop starting at T13 or T14 blighted maps (I forgot which one)
That is still a good start. I am still in the campaign but I am starting to think about what kind of maps I want to try with my zoomancer :)
I farmed a lot of blight last league with my Chieftain. the Hinekora's explosions + ignite prolif felt so amazing, it would just chain up an entire lane and even 1 shot bosses
Every time I see a blight video it’s a new strat. Are the towers just getting stealth nerfed while I’m not paying attention or what
I used to be very big noob with this mechanic. was spamming random towers hoping that high damage=success
This league ive been doing 90% of the time chilling lvl 3 + Seismic level 3 combo and if needed i throw in some Scout towers to wipe the stragglers. securing every lane with atleast the combo so far allowed me to succeed every blight encounter without fail and without the need to actively attack
What about ravaged?
@@beasthaven1571 should be same tactic but i mostly fail them. Make sure to put proper anointments too. The decrease of tower cost is probably a must have if you solo it
I think they changed the towers not activating thing. Ive been doing nothing but blight and theres been several times enemies were frozen on one end of the map and ill be looting the far opposite side of the map and theyll die several screens away
im pretty sure its both, on blighted maps you can throw in the fragments to boost it so maybe doing that would do the same in regular maps @therotten6152
@therotten6152 Only the affects the pump drops iirc. Bc the oils themselves do affect the blight chests. I don't know for sure if this applies to general maps, but I am confident that it does not.
@therotten6152 I'm pretty sure GGG at some point made it so map quant/rarity affects blighted chests at 20% of the original value.

@therotten6152 you don't need to be confused, you can just check the wiki
"Map's Item Quantity Modifiers also affect Blight Chest count at 25% value"
apparently quantity changes how many chests spawn, not their contents, my bad. Rarity affects the chests themselves.
blight just drop unrequited love for me , serioulsy blight too underrated
blight is the league mech i just enjoy the most but never could farm it correctly. most time due to my not great explosive trap build.
I've been farming blight maps for huge profit. Also if you can do wildwood empowred blight encounters the payout is huge. I use two Arctower anoints on rings. All my divine drops this league have been on blight.
But I failed my first blight ravaged map T.T those bosses are insane.
Yes. how does a rookie player ever make a blight ravaged map? Those bosses really are something else
I have about 50million dps and I was barely scratching them.
I haven't win any blighted maps before. always get overwhelmed by big tanky bosses from all direction
did they nerfed the minion scout towers at some point? i remember just spamming scout towers with scout tower attack range annoint on both rings let you basically full afk blighted maps (besides the minion immune lanes that you had to deal with)
Was nerfed years ago. They're still alright, but meteor towers is the main dps. Scout to catch fast bois or whatever

first time i see a blight map being ran with more than 15 fps
what ring annoints do you reccomend for blight?
If you want to play blight with more than 2-3 lanes on map just annoint meteor tower leave burning ground and minion tower deal 25% more dmg and put flying minions or (if gate is invincible to minions) meteor towers. Also node for 300% more tower dmg is really helpful cause towers can deal much much more damage than player on higher tier.
I only ever do blight, my favorite mechanic (i know its blocking other better sources of income but i find it way mor efun then anything else, that and you dont need a high end build to do it) i got EXTREMELY lucky on day 2 where a hinekoras lock dropped from act 7 after a alva area (15div most currency ive EVER had) been loving the league and thanks fro the upto date guide ziz!
Gratz on the drop. I'm also one of those that never see much in the way of currency, so I know how good a drop like that can feel.
It's really dumb and unintuitive that towers stop working if you aren't right on top of them. I do hope GGG fix that some day.

@@3nfy The monsters keep moving and attacking though so no? If they cared about lag they'd delete zoomancer builds from the game.
I believe this has been fixed. My towers aren't switching off no matter how far away I go.

I try to remake a lot of videos every 3-6 months so that theyre always up to date, someone checking for videos might think its old if it says "2 years ago" so i just spam remake videos and keep them up to date. Good money for me and good for people that are new to make sure its up to date ❤

I actually found Carcass to be a very bad map for Blight, was frequently failing them because of bad tower locations and bad pump placement with 4 lanes coming into the pump. Channel was actually way better for me to consistently complete
They actually fixed the towers stop attacking off screen.
I've got almost all of the blight nodes and most of the delerium nodes and *ALL* I get is delerium... more than 50% of my maps are delerium and 0% are blight.
Damnit Ziz. GGG hates when players have fun AFK. This will get nerfed now :(
Dont go afk tho. Volatiles kill you sometimes.

I cant do blight in my maps after getting 2000+ mists from league mechanics...mobs are crazy tanky
