he was spose to put the bearing in the housing before putting the bearing on front, there is no way the bearing will fit in straight it has to b turned to get it in
Yes and in experience the back bearing will be gone now too and will wreck the pump if not sorted out, it's a grease nipple that can be forgotten easily
The bearing on the main input shaft needs to be put in the housing before its slid on the shaft before its bolted up. Lee put the bearing on first then wazzed the housing up to the bearing with the rattle gun. Bit of a mishap is that!
He's right thats a 4 bolt housed bearing you put the bearing in at 90 degrees then rotate 90 and push on to the shaft that will bust other bearing on the other end of the shift intime @jamesmccabe1702
On the center of carousel there should be a disc off a disc harrow to cover the bolts heads it protects the bolts aswell as not do as much damage to beet important when storing for longer periods
Great video. A bit of luck with that engine oil leak in the field… you had the same luck with the ‘99 backend leak earlier in the year when you hit that stone, more luck again to have that split collar on the shelf… FairPlay to Father Phil for remembering that one. Keep up the good work.
Sorry not an armchair food but have fitted many of there type of bearings they are fitted in to the housing at 90 degree and rotated then for your info if you did not notice 😮
Welding bolts to bars is pointless, she will have them thrown after a hard day's pulling, there are special tapered washers for the big bolts to set the spacing and keep bars tight, what you have done will not last. Loose bars will start tipping the opposite carousel and the frame.
Your man Lee is a great addition to the operation. A great man you were lucky to find him

Where you put the flat washers Phil ,there should be a tapered washer,,as for the front bearing ,it should have went into the housing first

Now that 3075 is a nice size tractor ..... 😊. Great work on the harvester and vid 👏 busy as always... stay safe 🏴
No douching Lees ability, but I thing he should have put the bearing into the housing first before he fitted it on to the PTO shaft.
gotta love armchair experts
