Brings back good memories, My parents took me and my brother up to Marquette probably about 30 years ago. My dad got footage as we watched the ore being loaded onto the ships (quite a site) witch I still have today. Sadness pours over me as the ore dock is now closed and my parents have passed on. There's still an active oredock in Marquette. This dock in the video closed around 1971. The other oredock is still very active
Such a beautiful town. So glad I got to visit. Only regret is only staying for 1 day. Can’t wait to go back.

The structure is still sound and they talk about converting it into store fonts and condos

Wow I just wanted a video of the same thing but was a remastered video. It's sad to see the before and now to bad they could not stay going.
One still operates and dumps iron ore into freighters.
