We will also will discuss the PERCEIVED CONCEPT that ALL WEALTHY and RICH PEOPLE are LAZY because they hire professionals to do the MOWING SERVICES and LANDSCAPING SERVICES. Some people even think ALL BUSINESS OWNERS are extremely wealthy….. this is NOT THE CASE. Real life is expensive…. The more you make… the MORE MONEY YOU’LL BE SPENDING TO UPHOLD THE LIFESTYLE and BUSINESS.
My Brother...It has been too long since I commented on your Totally Excellent & Helpful videos....Most importantly I want to thank you for taking your time to help others who love working in their yards. But Most Importantly - I want to remind you once again that you and your lovely wife have done A Great Job at the most important of all tasks given to us by our LORD. Y'all have raised simply wonderful young men!!!! Sons any loving parent would be thankful & honored to call "Son" I get truly inspired every time I watch y'alls videos. Please tell your sons & wife how much I admire respect & appreciate them & how I am inspired every time I see them on these videos. Your Brother Larry C
Larry my brother!!! You just brought a huge smile to my “soulmate’s face” and mine as well 🤜🤛 thank you so much for your kind words and your support!! I truly love having a community FULL OF GREAT SOULS like YOU ❤️
So nice to see all of this, mainly hard work done well and passionately and… all around kindness and respect. Im subscribing immediately. Thank you!
🤜❤️🤛 Much love and respect always!! 😎Thank you for your kind words ❤️
Wow; that's Awesome!
The details are where the money is at! This is exactly why your customers have you doing the jobs and are willing to wait for you. Beautiful work, yes it takes longer but I can tell you, it makes all the difference in the world. Mulch should not touch that edge!! Period. Great tutorial and shows in the excellence of your work.
Wow. You not only spread mulch but more importantly you're sharing godly wisdom.
🤜❤️🤛
As a small business owner, I want to echo your comments! None of us can do it all, so we do what we can and hire out either what we can’t do or don’t have time to do. And thank God for that or else none of us would be in business in the first place! Here’s to capitalism and living in community! We need each other to make the world go round. Excellent work, brother!
🤜❤️🤛 Well said my brother!! Have a great day and smile often 😎💪✌️
God has given us all special gifts, unfortunately most people that get jealous won't see that.
That's a true story about some folks that are better off monetarily than we are. There's a thousand different reasons why someone would pay me and trust me to work on their property. Personally I don't really care what those reasons are. That's their business. I love to do quality work and if you want to pay me for it then we've got a deal.
And I am glad you do. Since my energy has faded, I can’t physically do that much work.
@m3max my dad seans lawns says you are very smart with landscaping like Mistur Randall
Yay!
By far the best instructional video Ive seen on edging & mulching a bed! Thanks kindly for your expertise!
I do my own because I can’t fine a company to do it the way you do. Your work is awesome!
Outstanding edging. I do my own since I love doing my own yard work; it’s relaxing! I will definitely stop filling the edge up with mulch though. I also appreciate your perspective on people who may be financially healthy. They all get dressed the same way, and have many of the same issues others have; sometimes more!
🤜❤️🤛 Much love and respect always!! Have an awesome day 😎✌️💪
Your work is amazing, your work ethic is amazing and your attitude is amazing! And THAT is why these rich folks trust you to be around their homes and their families. Keep up the good work!
Very satisfying watching you all mulch, looks beautiful ❤
I did landscaping for years and I give you great praise! This is how it's done! I will say it made my body age super fast and take care of yourself. It's a hard job!
Beautiful work. Your clients are lucky to have someone that takes pride in what they do. I use the same technique around my own garden and it's a workout, but the details are worth it. Here's to your health and continued success!
Your attention to detail is very admirable and your next level work ethic is amazing.
‘Good” is good enough for too many people these days.
Thanks for sharing your excellent work. 👍🇺🇸
Love your video and also love your humble attitude! Great message to everyone out there.
Your work ethics are outstanding. Best of luck
Good for you to do the job with such pride and perfection.!
Thank you for sharing your “secret” Now off to my yard to do the same 😃
Yep, this is exactly the way I do my edges. And I run the weed wacker vertically every time I mow. It makes a perfectly square edge. Another pickiness of mine is to blow the glass clipping out of the edges on the sidewalks, driveway and curb. Why mow and edge if you're going to leave dead grass to collect in the edges. (Talking to my neighbor. I love them, but their edges trigger me.)
I’ve created a new small flower bed in my front yard very similar to the type you’ve done. My question is how do you maintain that tight crisp edge when mowing next to it. I’ve been using a half moon shovel each time is there another suggestion you might have? I’m a 73 year old grandma and still active but I’d appreciate any advice, thanks.
Great work! Wish there were more workers like you, great attitude and work ethic!
I’m a DIY homeowner, and create and maintain my garden beds using the same method as you, with one exception. My initial cut is made using a half-moon edging shovel. It really makes light work of that fist step.
Nice 🤜🤛
I like the results of that tool 100%… But they tend to bend and break using them on a regular basis and cutting into some of this HORRIBLE DIRT/CLAY/ROCKS.
@@elitelandscapeslifestories My soil is a light, sandy loam for the most part, so my spade has lasted over 40 years. Heavy clay would have probably shortened its life considerably.
I used to take care of my lawn and it looks beautiful because I have pride. Life isn't easy and I bust my butt working 60-70hrs a week and because of my work schedule i hire a landscaper to do my weekly cutting, edging and blowing. The landscaper also does my mulching, pruning, weeding & snow removal work. I work hard and i play hard!!
Wow!!! That edge!!! Thank you so much for making this video. I have edge goals and now I believe I can achieve it. Much respect from a grateful homeowner.
Schools in session 💎🥇👊🏻
Nice work! Finally someone gets this process. I think it is by far the best way to edge.
Well done Sir
First time view and you’re a master with that mulch! I appreciate your ethics! I’m a petite “house wife” who preps the bedding areas beforehand and my husband dumps mulch and I rake into place. We had stones placed for edging but I always have Zoysia grow into the mulch! Lol, hard work so it’s great to see a hard job well done. Thanks!
I just moved a yard mulch last weekend. My garden is so pretty ❤
🤜❤️🤛 Awesomeness!! 😎✌️💪
Awesome work and great advice! Definitely going to try your technique next time I do my flower beds. You're kept those customers with the level of perfection you accomplish.
You sir, are 100% right about the wealthy. I enjoyed watching your video, and looking forward to trying your technique.
My brother always telling it how it is , 😤💪 and always sharing his tips!
Thank you for the tip on cleaning the mulch out of the trench. I had to clean it up like you said. As you mentioned, why cover up your hard work.
Great job. Looks awesome!
I started my own custom painting business to pay my way through college. I got lucky and got hooked up with a premier builder in my area. The smallest, most plain house he built was around 6000 sq ft. As a painter, we're basically that last ones there, we have to make everyone else's work look good. I was working through a punch list, and the owner's wife was there and we got to talking. I said a basic comment like "you have a beautiful home, it's been a pleasure to work on it." And what she said surprised me. She laughed and said:
I hate this house. All my life, we've worked so hard to have a "luxury" house like this ... and all I do is clean it. I'm basically a slave to maintaining this house.
Think about that. Look at the grounds in this video. You think a guy is going to maintain that on his own??? Look how many people from the landscaping service it takes just to get this work done-- and they're pros! lol The owners aren't "lazy." They are actually having to work, just to have a nice property because they can no longer maintain it on their own. Think about that. Maybe it would be better to have a smaller house, with a smaller yard you could take care of all that yourself in a couple hours each week? Where is the trade-off as you get more successful?
It's a complicated topic. But it's certainly not as simple as "rich people are lazy." In many cases, it's actually easy to argue: they're **TRAPPED.** ;)
❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️ Much love and respect 100% 😎 Welcome to the family 💪✌️❤️
All that digging I did and I filled the edge up with mulch 😏 I can’t afford your amazing service so I really appreciate the tips !!!
About the time I’ll get put in a nursing home my yard will look how I want it 😂
Randal yal put the elite in your business name! BEAUTIFUL !
This is perfection.👍💯🇺🇸
🤜❤️🤛 Thank you Maria
Looks great!
Such a beautiful edge and I get you. And your clients approve obviously because as you said you been working for them for 10years. Of course rich people work hard, and they deserve all they own. Poor people just get jealous I recon. We all have to work harder to get things in life. You got the best job as it’s good for the mind and soul to be in nature and it rewards you with tranquility more than anything. Great video, and first time here. Keep up the splendid work mate.
Hi mistur Randall it’s me Jaxon and I am liking this video and you just are always so nice and helpful for me
Nice job. You take pride in your work
Beautiful job,new subscriber here!
🤜❤️🤛 Welcome to the community and family 😎✌️☀️ Good Vibes ALWAYS
6:31 Amen
It’s gorgeous. Good job.
I try to make my beds look like that but I suck at it! Unfortunately I don't have the funds to have it done, so I'll rewatch this and try try again😊
awesome video man, im going to use your techniques and advice. thanks for taking the time and effort to help people like this
This looks great!
Great video and great work looks good . Good to hear from you brother ❤️🙏
Great message, attitude and tips 👍
I wish I was rich, I would employ you
This is whats up, man. i just did this in my front yard this weekend. I just kind of did it not knowing it was a thing. just didnt want to see any plastic between my bed & my new lawn, although I did fill in the edge, I'll go back out this weekend & pull back that mulch to expose the edge. Should have watched this 1st.
🤜❤️🤛
good work 😎
🤜🤛 Thanks Kevin!! Enjoy your weekend my brother 😎
Very Nice looking!
Looks great I do the same thing but struggle with mowing those edges
I'm now slightly better at mulching. Never tampered it before.
Great video awesome work 🤙🏼
What type of mulch do you use, it has a very fine texure?? Tips? Btw,Well done.
Call your local landscape / nursery and ask for premium mulch
awesome video!Thanks!
When I was 10 years old I made a discouraging comment in front of my grandfather about a couple in a Rolls Royce pulling up to a very fancy restaurant. He straighten me out real fast. Granddad said... grandson, never forget, everyone bleeds red and wipes their ass weather they're rich, poor, black, white, red, yellow or pink with green polka-dots, everyone!
BTW, I do the same edging around my (truly raised) bed for a Hydrangea tree and two Hydrangea dwarf bushes on either side. Works out great because I don't have to run a weed eater around it. Just be careful with my push mower and it cuts the grass right up to the edge.
You are blessed to have a Grandfather that understood human souls ❤️ Thanks for this message Mark!! Keep smiling and always spread the GOOD VIBES OF LOVE!! I absolutely love hydrangeas 🤜🤛
The only extra thing I do on top of all of this is spraying round up. I’ll spray the beds before I lay the mulch. Unless they are planting flowers of course
🤜❤️🤛😎💪
Preen works really well for planted beds. Won’t harm plants. It’s granular, you can throw it down before the mulch and water it in. I think it works for like 6 months. Not gonna kill weeds, just prevent them.
@@jaclynelise2966 thanks for the tip :)
I never egde beds i keep them up with weed eater no complaints 45 years in business
Cliff notes: Use edger spade to cut the edge line, use another shovel to make a little canal on the other side.
Use a bigger shovel and add all the extra dirt to the “raised bed” or take it out.
Don’t fill in the edge. Use Triple shredded hardwood mulch.
Tamp it down with a rake.
That dirt edge holds for the year?
Looks amazing!
I’m trying these today!! You’re a mess! A good mess! Thanks for sharing so much content!! 😊
Where can you dump all the excess soil removed?
As much HOA fees we pay, I wish the landscaper would pay more attention to detail as you do.
Beautiful work!! By the way would you now know what kind of tree is the one behind you?
My mulch bed had like a foot and a half of mulch, is that correct? I think it’s way too much.
Way too much…. Only need a base layer of 3-5 inches depending on circumstances.
@@elitelandscapeslifestories ah thank you, I figured as much!
Beautiful work
🤜🤛😎❤️ thank you
That looks great. But one day later, after the birds have done their bit, it will be all over the grass. I hate it when that happens. Anything you can do about it? I kinda just accept it because after all I want birds in my garden. But the tamping down and having a deep edge doesn't seem to be enough to stop them wreaking havoc.
Is triple shredded mulch the same as what some call gorilla hair mulch? Thank you.
I’m not sure about that one 😂 Never heard of it…. It’s usually at the Landscape supply store that the businesses use. I only use the hardwood mulch and not the pallet mulch. Thanks for your time spent here today 🤜❤️🤛
😊@@elitelandscapeslifestories
Is this triple shred or designer/dyed mulch?
Dyed brown hardwood mulch, triple shredded 💪👍😎 Thanks for hanging out!!
#MulchPimp👊🏻💯
Beds look too sterile with all that empty area. Fill in the space with different plants including ground cover and you eventually don't have to mulch as much. Just my 2 cents.
They are filled with perennial flowers and annual flowers now 🥰🥰🥰 this was in early spring.
How do you keep the weeds out without landscape fabric?
Consistently put mulch on top of the weeds. And pull out some also. This way, the weeds can be controlled, but there is no permanent solution. They will come back if you do not maintain.
@@SnakePlantCollector I solved the problem. Sell the house and move into an apartment. GENIUS!
@@randymillhouse791 great solution!
mulch keeps weeds out. the random ones that make it through you just pull out, but here wont be many. most weeds need sunlight, and mulch blocks all sunlight, starving potential weeds
you're either lucky sperm and born into wealth..... or you work for it. ppl can complain and protest things all they want. but the hard work business owners must sweat and worry over - is never mentioned by the ppl who want what others work for. perhaps our universities have marked out too many arts/humanities programs that are in a general sense useless in the private sector instead of focusing on STEM and skilled trades. kudos to you and your business too.
And for some even inherited wealth…my husband’s boss…they are one of the wealthiest families in our state. Each of the kids had to work in their orchards when they were young, they put our son to work too….grueling work, in the orchards by 5-5:30 am, every work day….
As far as hiring out landscaping help…i do what i can but i need help now. I’m grateful there are people willing do to a job that helps me out so much.
Nothing is easy.

Do they not sell razors where he lives?????
Thank you so very much for wishing me a happy Father’s Day and complimenting my hard working family. You obviously are an amazing and happy person!! We love you 😘
Really?? Razors?? I’ve personally met a lot of clean shaven men who don’t happen to have the ethics, the pride and the respect for others that this man has. Get your priorities straight and while you’re at it give someone deserving a compliment or two. It really doesn’t take much.
🥰💪❤️
@@elitelandscapeslifestories sooo classy!!
Thank you very much for spending time with me today on the channel 😎 Life is all about LOVE, UNDERSTANDING, and COMPASSION for others as they grow ❤️ I hope your week is AMAZING…. You deserve it 100% !!! I can tell you are a good soul , so can the LORD of LOVE (aka God)
Best landscaper in the world aka Randall
You do an awesome job! Your clients are a lot like mine, wealthy. Rich people aren’t lazy, they just know that you can do it better than they can. I do containers for my clients. The average pot will cost about $50 to $75 each. They have no issues paying because I make them beautiful. Time is money, they don’t have the time, desire or skill set to do it, but they do have money to pay someone who does. I do make a profit because my business doesn’t cost much to start up. I ❤my job!
BEAUTIFUL ! ❤
This is the best edging & munching practice! Im tickled to learn from a professional, such as yourself, that I am doing this correctly. Yes, its labor intensive; yet, the results last - long term - that mulch knits together & breaks down into the soil. 1st I use the dug edging to add to beds' height/depth of soil - Nicer for adding bulbs, annuals, perennials.
Next year, I move it to a holding area, incorporate organic matter & address beds in need. Oh, im so tickled to find you! I landscape my property adjacent to a salt marsh - all by myself. And Im a Girly Girl 😅 Looking forward to binging on your videos. Your comments were spot-on! Im not wealthy; I work very hard & love being out in God's beauty. Thoxa to Theo, thanks be to God in all things. You're awesome! Greetings from Virginia Beach, VA.
Thank you so much for your time and your compliments 🤜❤️🤛 YOU ARE AWESOME!!! Keep spreading the LOVE and GOOD VIBES 😎
Love your message. I’m a DIYer that enjoys landscaping but I also realize at my level of income it makes more sense for me to just work extra at my job and pay someone to do it. Just wish I knew someone like you
🤜❤️🤛 Thank you so much and welcome to the community and family 😎 Have a wonderful day and SMILE OFTEN!!
Perfection my man, what I would give to have edges like that in my landscaping.
🤜❤️🤛 Thank you… have a wonderful week 😎💪✌️
That's an edge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1st time I seen one of your videos & I hit subscribe 🎉 loved ur work!!
🤜❤️🤛 Welcome to the community and family 😎 Good Vibes ALWAYS
Love when you reference God! Your work ethics are awesome…
Thank you for your kind words ❤️💪🙏
Randaaaall! Thanks for another absolutely spectacular video! There are SO MANY folks out there who look at properties such as these and stand in awe of how beautiful they are. How tasteful and well manicured they're cared for. What they DON'T think about, are the people who do the work to make these properties as amazing as they are. All the props and kudos go to to the hard working folks like you and your boys, who bust their humps day in and day out to keep these properties looking magazine worthy. Thanks so much for what you do. God bless.
Enjoyed your perspective Randall. Feeling worn down already this season and I’m a few years behind you. Keep encouraging us “warrior’s “ 💪🏻👍🏻
Truly the best looking beds I’ve seen! I would definitely pay you to have mine looking the same way!
Utmost respect for this quality of work, the type of person I love to hire all & stick with
Are you in Illinois? I need to hire you guys.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge, wisdom and valuable skills. I appreciate it ❤
🤜❤️🤛
What a magnificent house, landscaping and totally excellent border edging. I would love to have my edging to look like that and now I know how. You guys are awesome 😊
🤜❤️🤛 thank you Sharon 😎
A British garden channel had a gardener commenting “Americans like to show off their mulch” not a compliment but really, indeed.
It’s true in certain parts of America…. It’s so much work, I wish the beds were full of perennials and more plants. But, I’ll gladly make the world beautiful anyway I can at this point in my life 🤜❤️🤛 Good Vibes always
Great resultant product and greater message. I like when someone I'm paying for a job that's out of my skillset takes as much pride in the work as I would myself. I'm all for DIY when I have the time tools and skills or have the time to learn the skills. But it's not always the case, so I find someone else. Your beds in this video look amazing. Clean, well spaced, and not overcrowded. Recently ripped out our overgrowth from a newly purchased home, so we're in the rebuilding stage for our beds. It's a lot of work.
This is my favorite way of edging. However, does this really work with Bermuda grass? I have Bermuda and every time I’ve tried this method I always have Bermuda creeping in. Perhaps I’m doing something wrong.
You are a credit to your profession! Excellence is hard to find today. You do amazing work. Thank you for the video!
