I don't understand the "I don't like how it bites", in the salt belt, you want all the bit you can get, spline drive is awesome. That being said, I bought the Craftsman V series long double box wrenches from Lowes for $40 and I'm very happy with them, they just skip some sizes I really wish it didn't (like 15 and 18).
Tekton has their version of the zero degree offset wrenches with a fixed and ratcheting side coming out in a couple weeks too. Also, they just dropped their pinless impact swivels a few days ago too. They are also coming out with a 1/4" impact socket set in a couple weeks too. They go from 4mm to 17mm!! As far as a great affordable swivel impact set that does well and is very affordable, the astro impact swivel socket sets are a great!
Matco has a new swivel socket design with Pin that is an improvement from the ADV. Koon Trucking showed them on his channel yesterday on the Matco Truck
I saw those!! They said if they do well and hold up like they think they will, they'll phase out the pinless design. They look really nice too. I'm wanting to try them out. They are USA made too by AJ Manufacturing.
@ my MAC Tools swivels are my favorites and I have 1/4”-3/8”-1/2” full sets shallow & deep. I’ve never had any problems with MAC impact sockets/swivels.
@@scottaddison8071 yeah, Mac swivel impacts are phenomenal!! They are such great quality swivel sockets and they hold up great!! They are super skinny and short too. Mac swivel sockets are so underrated. Their 1/4" impact swivel set is an ultra beast!
Those Mac wrenches are nice. I'm not a fan of the spline drive either. It's a shame that Sunex has shifted production to China. Their Taiwan made impact sockets were reasonably priced and good quality. Unfortunately a lot of mid tier tool companies are sending production to China and even India.
So far, I agree about new China made SUNEX. Not certain but about 18 months ago I bought the SUNEX metric V-groove combination wrench set n the fit on hardware is ridiculous. Waste of $. The new China universals that I have are being replaced by Astro nano universals and Mac/Snap On universal adapters n extensions after breaking too many extensions at the base of the anvil from cheaper brands, Astro (universal adapters)- Pittsburgh impact extensions, ADT n Performance Tools extensions. I may get the Tekton universal sockets when they release. Think I am about done with SUNEX unless it's Taiwan made n I can really examine it.
Sunex just up and threw their whole reputation for making solid impact products out the window with moving to China. It's mind boggling. Their stuff is 50/50 on quality with impact sockets being the one really good product. Sad to see.
I have both the metric & SAE sets I purchased from Flyer last year and I agree they are the best. I also have the. Carlyle sets and I really like them also
Thanks for the "heads up" !

Good video
Dang, man, that's bs. I hate those fat collar swivels. You know that, though lol

I’m so jealous
I kept pausing the video to look for the cat.

Ya their wrenches are the worst of the worst
Yuup exactly. @Nordman555
how have you been liking those Mac 8-19mm ratcheting box end wrenches? Seem to be holding up for you well? I've been eyeing them for a while now
They are my favorite long ratchet wrenches. There expensive but worth it. $500 still cheaper than snapon

Donmaster in the house
Wow that sucks 👍😎👍
Absolutely hate the spine drive mountain k tool ect wrenches I have 3 sets every brand and they are all garbage.
9mm is useless tool in the mac set, it should include two 10mm wrenches
9mm has its place
