I think u have to get 2 red bars after your takeover to speedboost. I think the 2nd bar or red piece whatever it’s called will boost your ball control attribute to 76. So when u actually activate takeover the plus 10 will boost ur already boosted ball control and you’ll be able to speedboost. So the more red u get after takeover the more you’ll boost your secondary (playmaking) attributes on the build
it’s based on how you get takeover, you need assists and dribble move scores to get to be able to speed boost, and also a little bit more than a full takeover bar works too.
Joe, I think you have to get the assists first before you’re able to activate it. You can’t get the assist and try to speedboost after you get take over. Hope this helps😉

2 assists or a bucket after you fill the meter, then you activate it.
you can speed boost when u have a close game such as 16-17 because it activates clutch preformer boost all ur attributes

Joe i know the problem u need a B teammate grade BEFORE u activate takeover in order to momentum my 6"10 sharpshooting shotcreator has the same ball control and needs a B also to momentum any grade lower and u wont be able to preform the move

Here’s the reason if the defender has Silver Defensive stopper or higher you can’t speed boost

You need to have 2 assists before you activate takeover bro. A member of my Pro-Am team has a 98 Playmaking Stretch.
When you were able to speed boost u had 10 points 1 rebound and 1 assist before activating takeover, maybe thats the secret sauce u need everytime

What jumpshot would you recommend for a 6'9 SF Playmaking Shot Creator? I currently use Lance Stephenson's jumpshot but with a quick release but just like him, when it falls it falls and when it doesn't it's hopeless. My 3pt rating is currently 77 open, 79 contested, and 74 off dribble. Would love an answer.

You have to be at that second arrow notch past takeover before triggering your takeover, that's how you get it. The only time you were able to speedboost, you were over 2 arrow notches

The reason why u cant speed boost is because you need 3 assist by the time that you are close to takeover
It depends if the person guarding u has defensive stopper because that badge also lowers your attributes, lets say if any pg or sg guarding u you'd still be able to speed boost even if they have the badge cuz the defensive stopper only works on the position above and below u and i believe 3" height difference vise versa so sf, pf, and Cs will at least bronze will knock your ball handling below that 86 cap even in take over. Hope that kinda helps

I'm 40% to 98 on this build. It's so underrated. Also, you can only speed boost when you have unlimited boost or the boosts from the wheel and 1 or 2 assists and the game is within 8 points.

What is the best release for a stretch?
On your way to getting takeover you get small boosts to what you've been doing to get takeover, probably need more score off dribble moves to get the ball handling boost before you get takeover, not 3s that will start boosting your shot or assists alone which will boosts your passing stats. It's the warming up part of takeover
Proven fact: in order to speed boost, you need takeover AND 2 red bars need to be FULLY filled (gives +4 ball control per red bar)

Yoooo joe ima dribble head in 2k and i experiment with alot of builds too, it seems to me take over gives you plus 10 with take over but as your bar depletes your +10 attributes decreases with the bar at the beginning you had a 88 ball handling but it looks like after about 3 seconds your already at a 85 ball handling so no more momentum dribbling go for team take over and it should let you do it longer. But thats just what i think lol

The game needs to be within 5 points for clutch performer which will boost every stat by 5 which allows you to speed boost
