Just FYI Jack Leslie, I finally met Evander in person last January('19). An investigative reporter for CBS Atlanta46("Peachtree TV"), Adam Murphy, asked me if I would be willing to spar with him a week before, and I said yes. However, after arrived at the gym, he was being interviewed by reporter Monica Kaufman and sitting down for about an hour while I was stretching and warming up the whole time. Then, when we got in the ring, I really felt like I'd be taking advantage of him and waited for him to punch me first, which he never did, so I didn't "connect" on him either. Later thinking back, I felt I disrespected him because he was the two-time champ, and who am I to think I'm going to hurt him(but at that time I HONESTLY DID!) I imagined something happening, and then I would be portrayed in the news as some kind of goat/bully - even though I'm 14 months older then him and haven't competitively boxed in 30 years. I'm a big Tyson fan when it comes to what he achieved in the boxing ring. However, Holyfield was the better man on this night and deserved his win. The ref also correctly stopped the fight because Tyson was taking too many punches and had ceased throwing anything back. Holyfield couldn't stop mentioning God and Jesus because he is a Christian who is not ashamed of his faith and the Gospel. God warns that anyone who denies His son (Jesus) before man, will be denied access to heaven. Anyone claiming to be a Christian but is scared of proclaiming their faith in Jesus Christ in front of man for whatever reason, won't be going to heaven when they die.
