Just wanted to say thanks for your other video on cleaning Brother toner cartridges - I have a compatible cartridge that was printing extremely light, and with streaks down it. It turned out there was built-up residue on the doctor/wiper blade, and once that was cleaned off, it works perfectly again!
I want to thank whomever made this tutorial, I had already cleaned the roller in the front of the printer and the black line was still there. I did not know there was a roller in the back of the printer, I mean, I’m no printer technician but I can troubleshoot with instructions, so I followed this tutorial to the T and success. No more black line, so thank you very much!
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!! This was a well produced video delivering clear information. I quickly and easily fixed my printer and it is producing clean prints again!
So glad I found this channel....I just replaced my Brother 5200DWT because the toner wasn't sticking, spotty, and roller lines (sometimes) down the pages. New printer....2,000 pages later, SAME THING 😣 I'll try this tomorrow and search your channel for more options? Very frustrating....I sometimes print 2,000 pages week for work and it's just not professional to have the toner splotchy and rub off😣
Grazie mille! Hai spiegato perchè il fusore va pulito e sei il primo ad aver specificato che le stampate dei fogli precedenti che ricompaiono sono dovuti a quello. grazie!!
I used 91% isopropyl alcohol and it worked fine. A little tedious getting to the orange roller, takes a little time, but very do-able. I have a HL2240 - did not remove the back cover.
Thank you for the video - If after cleaning the drum and the fuser roller and I'm still getting streaks and smears, does that mean I need to replace my diffuser?
Great video. I've cleaned the fusers and big rollers but my blank area when printing matches up with the small center white small rolling thing (not the printer drum or fuser roller). I don't see anything blocking it. Anything else I can check? Brother model HL2370. Thanks.
When you cleaned the roller....what was your printer doing that caused you to look up this video? We have the same model and the paper is jamming on this roller every 3rd copy after the paper jam is removed. Paper is also showing a slight "burn" mark across the paper. Thanks for your response.
Thanks great tutorials, excellent. I have a brother machine, MFC L8690CDW and after unused for a while it won't turn on only blinking green light with small clicking sound, but when open the front or back door it switches on and displays front or back door open, when close it turns off itself with small clicking sound and blinking green light. A small point but I thought they'd be a USB cable included to help with the set up but there was none. I've been using it now for a few weeks and it seems like a good product and superior to my previous printers which were all troublesome HP machines.
I tried using qtips with 99% isopropyl alcohol but the black bands on my ricoh 3510dn hardly came off and mostly still there. It was a day after running the printer so it was quite cold...maybe i need to run the printer to warm it up before attempting to clean? Or can i scrape it with something without damaging it?
