I shouldn't be locked down to summoning heroes for the turn if I summon a cross crusader and it gets negated, meanwhile snake eye gets to summon heroes, failures, fiends, angels, god. What happened to restrictions like, skip battle phase goes back to hand and end turn.
That's their whole business strategy. By releasing new and powerful cards, they're almost forcing players to buy those cards if they want any chance of keeping up with the meta.
It's not Goddess that's the problem, it's the Fiendsmith engine itself, especially the link 1. Whether it's Mermaid or Requiem, a link 1 bridging you into a powerful engine is the real dumb design.

@@AceSif155 banning beatrice in my opinion won’t solve anything, fiendsmith can allow you nib protection (wave king) with one card without taking your normal summon which is insanely powerful. Locking you just to fiends is an option, but it would severely restrict future archetype designs (basically konami wouldn’t be able to make a good fiend archetype because fiendsmith exists)
@@grimvengeance7445 thats a very good point, but without beatrice ull have to draw or otherwise use cards from ur hand for ur starters and reveal ur hand which makes the lines wayyy more susceptible to handtraps besides nib, and lets say they make an apo for 3 instead of wave king, the meta will shift to more ghost ogres, and veilers, imperms to counter that, but having beatrice allows for insanely consistent combos without using cards from hand and u can link off to other engines or even sp for protection. As for the restrictions side of things fiendsmith could have been like tenyis for swordsouls where its strictly tailored for that specific type of deck, and later down the line they can hit the smith cards on the list if fiends overtook the meta but at the end of the day they didn’t put restrictions on it just like melodious for business reasons and maybe their planning to make one card combo engines a thing who knows🤷🏻
Someone mentioned in your Discord that Russian players have an agreement not to play Snake-Eye. Imagine an event where majority of players, if not all, agreed to play anything but expensive meta. Think of the looks on Konami reps' faces as their T0 bullshit rots on shelves.
No xeno lock means it can be splashed to most decks, but the lack of low rarity option means low accessibility, so not everyone can play this deck. Causing a larger gap between new and veteran players. Turning away new or returning players equals losing players. No wonder why some stores in my area dropped yu-gi-oh!. Some locals reduced their events from every day to 1 day only. My closest locals don't even do edison format and only do speed duels when there is a release.
The thing is that even if the effect looks bad, that link 2 makes underworld goddess a link 3 monster (by using 2 monsters your opponent controls). Even if the fiendsmith engine gets nerfed it will be useful

A. Getting us good prizing, with Lorcana and One Piece giving amazing prizing and some of our top players jumping ship to go those games konami almost has to give better prizing now. B. Actually listen to the players/give regular banlists. Some of the biggest issues in today is the fact engines are way to small and dont have enough restrictions, ive seen a lot of people (me included) that are done with playing decks and playing against decks with 20 hand traps/board breakers. Its old and annoying but you need to play those decks in order to compete. Also maybe this is a me problem but im sick of playing against the exact same decks at my locals week after week, with how pricy decks are it makes it difficult for people to change decks so at least at my locals like half the people have been playing the same deck for 2 years cause they dont wanna put money into it.
Most likely at the same level of power. If you were to put Tear Ishizu vs Fiendsmith snake-eye it actually benefits from having their stuff being milled aswell. So Tear milling them 10 cards in grave wih the Ishizu cards it legit I feel gives them a huge amount of options, maybe without even having to use cards in hand to start comboing.
Konami realized hand traps are fundamentally bad card design. And proceeded to make the game infinitely worse by doing everything in their power to powercreep hand traps as a concept.
In my experience, they tend to lose when I Ash the search spell since it is hard once per turn card. Droll also hurts them. Shifter hurts them the most. As time goes by, choke points will show up, allowing us to make it easier to interrupt them.

They ruined yugioh when they released OTKO card combos. Honestly, you can't tell me that you ENJOY watching your opponent, on their first turn, knock you out and you haven't even been able to even lay 1 card down.

My licals never did alternate formats like edison to begin with. We just get a tournament on wednesdays if we have enough people

Extra deck should be once per main phase,1 and 2. 2 extra decks per turn, I want to have a turn please
