I love these long form mod reviews, no one does this that I've found besides you, at least not with a voice over. Very much appreciate your content. This is also hands down my favorite of the triumvirate paths, the spellblade is one of my main playstyles in any rpg.
Thanks so much! Whenever I've tried a assassin build in Skyrim, I usually slip into archery instead of one-handed, especially in the early game when your sneak skills just aren't up to par yet. I'm excited to try these out on my next assassin run, those teleportation spells make melee assassins very viable, even from early game :)
It’s already been said but these kinds of full list spell demonstrations really are fantastic. You’ve helped me decide between mods and have introduced me to completely new mods. It’s just a great resource for those who can’t check all the spells ourselves easily.
1:57 Solstheim. Sounds like that's what you meant to say but wanted to clear it up for anyone who views this guide and starts looking for a Telvani mushroom tower in Solitude ;)
This is great! Been doing druid and shaman builds mostly, but now I'm definitely doing a shadow assassin playthrough. That Nightfall master spell was.... inspiring 😁
Right? Especially if you included a couple self-targeted spells onto yourself through Ocato's Recital. Cloaks, heals, armor, invisibility... So many options!
The wording for Possession is a bit weird - but as I understand it, you cast it on someone, then defeat them, they don't die, and come back up as an ally with a buff, before dying again.
17:42 This is what makes Enaisiaion's mods so popular, I think. He thinks about the game holistically, and considers how his mods will affect the playthrough as a whole. Many mods work amazingly in the moment, and feel great in combat, but they utterly destroy the balance of the game. You get everything from some chest in Riverwood or whatever, and then you're immediately unkillable and get bored after an hour. Most magic/combat modders are just goofing around in the sandbox. Enai builds a sandcastle with a working drawbridge and sewer system.
Late comment, but being blunt, a lot of his mods aren't balanced. There is are videos of a blade based on use of this magic and the person one shots Guardians, Karstagg, and Cicero. But, that is likely due to requests from the users. There are capabilities from lore about shadow magic that were missed or misinterpreted. Also, considering Azra Nightwielder and Nocturnal's connection to Shadow Magic, you really only should have been able to get the spells from Neloth or Karith.
Right? The more enemies you fight, the faster you heal. Stack on the heavy armor / shield and you become this unstoppable life-stealing juggernaut, long as they get close. Fighting multiple dragons at once might still be enough to ruin your day. I don't think the absorption has enough range to hit a passing dragon. I've done three dragons vs lonely old me. The breath attacks are virtually endless. Yikes!
i think the last spell is supossesd to be cast on a target, when it reaches 0hp it doesn't die but frenzies and is friendly to you and immortal for 30 seconds
I know this is a bit old but shadow magic rocks till this day. You bound 3 spells with ocatos: gather shadows(or whatever is that spell that buffs shadow magic), shadow stride, nightblade. Then you have a nice sword (maybe with some paralyze on it) and pull/step through shadows and slash everyone before they even see what's happening. And then...if you got sacrosanct as well and play as a vampire... Out of this world speed and melee. And nevermind health absorbing with draining shroud and vampire drain... Insane destruction and nobody sees a thing. Like, you pull someone, seduct them, feed/drain, nightgate. 😘
It would have been neat if you could get the destruction spells from the old guy in the Dark Brotherhood. You know, the actual destruction mage assassin? We're already going there for Babette, so why not? And maybe it's one of these he used to turn his victim inside out. On second thought, he dies during that questline, so I guess that makes sense. Also I can't remember his name, so they probably wanted a more well-known character.
Yeah, I can't remember his name either, but I love the RP you're trying to implement there. What's the phrase? "Always beware an old man who works in a profession where most die young". Something to that effect. Especially if he specializes in things that go boom :)
Thank you, your comment helped me a lot, I was desperately looking for the spell that makes you teleport to the target, but I couldn't find it at all, until I read your comment
Hi Sethiroth! I know you still have to complete this showcase review, but will you do one for Mysticism? I'm looking for a vanilla version enhancement using Vokrii (also from Enaisim) and the combination of Triumvirate with Apocalypse looks too overcharged for me. Anyways, amazing videos as always. Thank you! ✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼
Hey Masycre :) Thanks for your suggestion. I keep a running tally of how many commenters ask for which mod, so make no mistake, Mysticism has moved up a couple places in the line! I know Enai has a series of "minimalist" overhauls, which I haven't looked at yet, but they look like fun to checkout as well. All in good time!
Hi been recently watching all your showcases, you mention auto cast a few times, can't remember if you mention it was a separate mod or is it that 3 spell save from apocalypse? thanks!
It's an Apocalypse spell called "Ocato's Recital". Most vendors sell it, once you are a high enough level in Alteration magic. It's casted from the right hand. When you cast it, it copies the spell selected in your left hand, auto-casting it whenever you enter combat. You can store up to three spells in that way. I like to do spells from multiple schools, so that you gain exp in all those schools each time you enter combat. It's a easy way to level up faster, in whichever school(s) of magic you want to focus on. :)
@@Kkvta You bet! Some of those Apocalypse spells can be a little complicated to use, especially in the Illusion school, but they are a lot of fun once you get the hang of 'em :)
Shadow Mage is probably the least of my favorites. It lacks in any real offensive capability, stand alone. Combined with other spells and equipment, i can see it definitely from a utility standpoint.
Not that easy. Each classes' spells are spread out among 3+ vendors across Skyrim. The full list is on the mod page: www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/39170
My gut says yes, because it just inserts spells into the game. But you should check the mod's "posts" and "files" sections to see if there are references to an AE version of the mod.
Yeppers. Aim at the target. Swing your blade when you're within 50 ft of the target and you'll teleport right to them. Consumes a chunk of your magicka on hit, for extra damage. It's easier to aim it in first person view though. 3rd person view is a bit off. :)
Just in case ;) Believe it or not, I had a comment just last month from someone who'd recently finished his first Skyrim playthrough. He was so excited when he realized how much mods could offer his next journey into Skyrim!

Draining shroud is ridiculous, 15hp and mp per second and works on multiple enemies at the same time xD

Even better when you combine it with the siphon health enchantment from summermyst
Just so you know there's also a chicken that has every single spell and it's the one chicken everyone wants to kill in Riverwood
Hahahah, kill the chicken ... if you dare! Just don't let anyone see you do it ;)

Yeah. It's more about merging thief / assassin builds into these spells, rather than going full mage.
Who do you buy from at winterhold
