I don't know if anyone said or not, but the big box thing you didn't know what it was, is called a well box, the pulley at the top once held a bucket on a rope you lower into the opening you opened to draw your water up, the big box around the well opening is the keep children and animals from falling into the well :)

I dreamed my daughter and her friend went to a place called Huffington and they didn't invite me. I have trouble walking. I just turned 82 in April. Blessed are they who bring Mom along so she can take good memories with her when her time is up. This is rare, so I want you to know how much I respect you and your sister. OMG San Antonio is one of the most beautiful cities in the US. We have never camped there, but have stayed multiple times in various hotels on the river. One of the reasons I love watching your's (and others) travel videos is to learn of new places that we will go. Not so much in this specific case, but we always learn something new. I loved the SA botanic gardens, I grew up in San Antonio and the gardens were one of my favorite places to go. the zoo an all the old missions as well.
That garden was a sketchers paradise!! It would have taken me more than two hours to get through the garden. I would stop and sketch and investigate all the plants.
That looked like a well, there was a pulley above it, for lowering buckets into a well and collecting water. I giggled as you said the log cabin was small, wondering if the square footage was smaller than panda.

I got to sit here in my air conditioned room and watch the tour thru the gardens in comfort with a cup of coffee. I almost feel guilty............OK, no I don't. You may need to get a carriage like Eric and Kevin have so Moo Moo can go too. Like you always say: Awesome and Beautiful!

Thanks for taking us! Loved it! Looks like the Koi pond is a tad shallow for the heat you have in San Antonio. Koi can survive freezing cold weather but too much heat and sun is bad. It should be a little deeper and some more shade. If they had a chiller unit and a bit more shade it might work in the summers

Panda Monium People here in SC have the same problem. They want a Koi pond but then don't dig deep enough or have shade and just end up with an expensive water feature that is pretty but with dead fish. 😖 I mean just think of living in a kiddy depth pool in the sun! Some Koi can be extremely expensive too and can live many years. Sad some will spend so much money but not research what is the best habitat for the fish first. Fish are living beings too and deserve as much thought and care as any other companion animals.

When I heard Beethoven in the background, it really added depth to the beauty that my eyes were seeing! Thank you for so much for sharing! Beautifully breathtaking! You know I can be off-the-wall sometimes..."and now for something completely different ...". I will always be honest...It reminded me of the scene in "Soylent Green," ...Edward G. Robinson chooses to go to the suicide center to end his life...the world is polluted, the air thick and filthy, and overcrowding is rampant....he has been injected with drugs that will put him to sleep, permanently...and A projection screen screen is lowered, and he sees beautiful scenery such as what you shared with us, along with beautiful music... tears are streaming from his face as he sees nature and the glories it contains... and as the drugs slowly drain his life away, he dies, hearing and seeing beauty... since my stroke, I seem to have a problem crying all the time... whether it's due to sadness, pain, or JOY, I cry... this beautiful scenery make me cry... as always, thank you for sharing😇👍🏾🙊🙈🙉
