This is my favorite FF XII IZJS review on the internet, the only thing i think you missed mentioning was the fact that you can now in this version control non playable party members, such as my favorite character "Reddas"!!!

which should i play, the original, izjs, or tza? i''m leaning more towards tza, as it fixes the audio compression and it doesn't seem as limited as izjs as far as one job per char, but was thinking to play the original first. I have to wait for steam version, lol ,no ps4
+Beersy I remember seeing a vid, not sure by who, saying that TZA is the easist version of the game, though? If that's true, i'll probably get bored since the gambits already make the game easy lol

There are some nice options, but the issue I found with IZJS version si the single class option, I like to be able to have all the classes, and the fact that you can never move past that is a little rough. I think I don't like that lockout feature in games, but the 2 class option will make it easier. Harder to mess up. I know it shouldn't be such a big deal, but it's a long game, and I don't want to make a messed up party configuration, and it sucks that one char would forever be a white mage, and one a time mage, lol.
wait...only 1 job per character?...from what iv heard and been reading about the HD version each character gets to unlock 2 job boards...honestly though me personally I prefer the original version where you can unlock the WHOLE board on whatever characters you want...game designer should of made a split version for those who want the original gameplay...I do look forward to playing this version when it comes out though :)

How about the zodiac spear? In the normal ver. 2006, you need to 'not open certain chest' for the spear to spawn in the final chest in Nabudis...does this change too?
I personally prefer this system to the original XII. Reminds me of Tactics, except I gather you can't change jobs? (I've not finished the vid yet). I never got far in previous attempts at playing this one, partially because I didn't care for how everyone could get every skill- like Elderscrolls games. Makes it seem pointless to be like "I'm gonna make a mage" then based on equip found you can just all a sudden bump up say your swordsmanship now you have a battle mage of sorts. Then you find a badass bow. Ok Arcane Archer Battle Mage it is. It's just so sloppy and makes it more of a game of "ok, who doesn't have healing spells yet?" Then it just turns into several characters that all do the same crap. Nevermind being able to make a good build based on talent, it's just based on grinding- which is lame. Like RPG training wheels. Anyway, great vid. I know I'm several years late here but as of today you've inspired me to take another crack at completing this game. I always found it very appealing, just couldn't enjoy it for long based mostly on the original skill system. Reminds me, I did buy the super special version when it released back then... what a waste of money!

I personally love the changes that IZJS and Zodiac Age brought to the table, and yeah, once you choose your jobs you can't change 'em, so it adds a level of strategy in job choices if that makes sense, so you don't end up relying on just three of your fav characters throughout the entire game. Definitely prefer the newer job system than having everything at every character's disposal. Good luck on replaying this gem of a game! 🍻
I still don't understand how the job system is better? While in the original every character could learn every skill and weapon class in the game, you are now restricted to only 2 jobs (remastered) per character? That's not good at all
I don't mind if it works. But this also means you have to know beforehand what your game plan is. Picking the wrong jobs for characters or the wrong two combinations and you have to start over again. Or doesn't that really matter?
so what happens when i play a new game with strog mode on is it cool do i need to choose new jobs not like what i finished the game with the first time i mean please answer me dude ?

(job system) but my fav RPG (if not fav game) ever is FFVii for major reasons like the best story & characters, perfect combat, magic system (with different slots in different weapons & being able to combine magic together if 2 slots are linked) & just as important MORE in-game extras than ANY game Ive ever seen since, still today, catching chocobos, being able to breed & race them for prizes, driving a submarine, snowboarding, play games at the arcade, gamble, etc, are there ANY other RPG's like that I can play?

You mention that "FF XII" somehow received "perfect" scores from some reviewers (possibly in magazines back then) FFvii (AKA the BEST RPG in history still to this day (no, I'm not biased & in-love with it... I swear) was the very first game back in the days of gaming magazines that scored 10/10 & I think most reviews gave it 97-98% (why not 100% if it was beyond perfect is beyond me) but FFvii had more content & side things to do than ANY other RPG or game at the time & was easy to play & understand, but this FF XII? Perfect score? I'm totally LOST on the FIRST thing u explain! The job system! So I dont think I could even play FF XII! As from watching your video it looks impossible to me! If I cant even understand your explanation of just ONE game feature then what hope would anyone like me have with the entire game??
Then, it's a YOU problem. If you can't understand anything then why blame it on another people? Only played ff7 then blame the game for having several class system when this system has been around for ages now is really hilarious. You should play all final fantasy game especially the ff3, ff5, and ff tactics for you to understand how amazing the job system was in this series.
