      It is a pity there is no terrain slope percentages and speed relative to the air flow (wind). Only power and road speed is displayed ...

      First off, great editing with the overlays. Superb timing as well given that many of us will be watching the Tour's ITT stage with an enhanced understanding and enjoy it all the more!

    Thanks guys. A did a team trial last weekend with 2 of us. Great when the wind's behind you but hard work coming back into the wind even when you're drafting.

    awesome, biggest take away is how to ride in a break away with others in a RR since TTT is rare if ever.

    Looks like there's an 'I' in 'TEAM' here, as shedding/shredding the 'help' so early (dropping #3 rider) forces your pulls to be 1/3rd longer...which equates to earlier onset fatigue. Would be smarter to establish a rhythm that included ALL the talent regardless if the 'stronger' riders felt they were being held back. Some riders don't find their stride/power until they get their engines warmed up, while another might find their stride straight away. You'll not find that rhythm with just 2 left...you'll only be as strong as the weaker rider...besides, isn't it more fun with more taking turns?

    Cool! Can you up the power smoothing to 5 seconds?

    You have it backwards slow riders save more time with discs than faster riders because they are on the course longer. I thought you guys knew all of Flo cycling’s blog posts on aerodynamics.

      Exactly!

    • @JakeH102
      @JakeH102 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a good point. I'm sure there is some sort of cut off point though because you have the exponential force of drag vs the longer time on the course. It would be cool to graph it

    Looks like Josh was on a Zipp disc, what disc is Dave using?

    • @TrainerRoad
      @TrainerRoad  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Josh was using the Zipp, and Dave was on the Vision Metron disc.

  • @wubble666
    @wubble666 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    What is that point when a disc starts to be more of a hindrance than helping you go fast

    • @TrainerRoad
      @TrainerRoad  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Typically we see speeds around 27mph (43kph) when the rear disc becomes an aero benefit. Keep in mind it's usually different between wheels (and even riders) as well.
