I think another important thing that sets Yami apart is his ability to consistently smash through his own limits when the situation calls for it. Even if he loses a fight he still gets vastly stronger.
i was debating with someone why this certain character would body yami and he kept saying “bro yami always surpasses his limits” and i couldn’t even be mad 💀

Yami doesn't use his katana because he "wants to because he's from Japan". Dark magic is said to be slow. He uses his katana to channel it to bypass it. While yes, he has one because he's from Japan, but that's just for convenience; he's able to channel it into other items/weapons too.
And the one magic that can only hurt him is light magic as seen on his epic battle on licht
He could also like using Katana’s too because he’s from the Land of the Rising Sun.
So in other words.... he uses it because he wants to. Because hes from japan. You literally contradicted yourself.
Sisgoleon is a beast and one of the best female characters in anime.
One thing you forgot to mention about mereleona is her hellfire incarnate spell was able to get her to the human mana limit, and started to make her body deteriorate. We haven’t even seen people like yuno or literally anybody get close to that, and yet mereleona did that.
well, that's HER mana limit, people like First wizard king and Julius have performed feats larger than her and they don't seem like they reached it.
Glad to see Mereoleona is in this list! Knowing BC fans for sure appreciates shes actually stronger than Fergo in terms of battle stats and fire magic despite not chosen by Salamander(tho tbf lowkey feels Salamander prolly would be afraid of Mereoleona lmao)

Wow I did not expect my man Jack to be so high (my favorite captain btw). A lot of people put him fairly low because of his main weakness due to the time aspect of it but I really like how adaptable his magic is. Also being Yami's rival and drinking buddy gets him brownie points in my book.

Unfortunately he's only high due to fake feats, he didn't kill the demon at 100%, it was literally so close to death everyone had already thought it died

It should be noted that Kaiser has the best defensive capabilities of all the captains, since he is considered as the Kingdom's Ultimate Shield, I think that's why he was the only captain that didn't go to the Spade Kingdom, which shows us how reliable his shield really is.
Also, he can use the vortex magic offensively as well, as he can expand the whirlwind and wash away the magic of anyone who comes into contact with it. Due to this characteristic, the whirlwind can also be used as a cage, as it was shown during the Captains Battle when he trapped Fuegoleon.
Yeah no diff but any other magic not held together tightly would quickly be swipe up and rippled apart in the vortex. So anything magic wise would be disperse.

I personally would place Dorthy a little bit higher on the list, simply because without a hard counter, Glamour World is acttually an automatic win button. You fall asleep there you die, with most opponents, all she'd have to do is take them there and leave them there.

@@IshuEdits069 dimension slash is a hard counter to trapping someone in an alternate dimension, 1 other character is implied to be capable of that, given that Jack under the right conditions can cut anything.
As far as combat ability and current power I'd have to agree. However, I'd love to see a video about which captain has the most potential to be strongest. A few of the lower ranking captains in this video I see being ranked way higher based off potential.

Fuegoleon easily will be the strongest captain...... I don't understand why it's taking so long, but once Tabatha finally gives him Spirit Dive, he's gonna be unstoppable
I feel the order don't speak about rank. Each chapter they fluxes a balanced shift. Reflecting they grow and powers. Like Painting magic gives limitless power but is held back by his expience. While one harden like scarlet can create a new magic arc. Jack slicing is scary if you think about it. But he is a power commanor that can match devil slayer level. But would probably struggle against the raw fire of a noble magic at flamugulion level. Silva matches that without the same battle feats.
Dorothy show the captains power to go beyond facing morro. Yami scale feats show the potential each captain. the likes that they have more and more that match past history like the first wizard king. They all came a long way.

The part about sisgoleon is 1v1... the part about Yami is just about power.
Yami (like Asta) is filled with hacks that make it almost impossible for people to 1vq them. But for me Feugo (like Yuno) will end up being far more powerful in terms of magic ability

My ranking for the captain’s
1) Yami - this is kinda obvious considering his feats against Lucifero.
2) William - Was able to hold his own in the fight with Zenon. Zenon even said that if William wasn’t carrying the other Golden Dawn members he might’ve beat him.
3) Mereoleona - Being able to hurt Lucifero and even fight with Yuno is good enough to place her here.
4) Fuegoleon - although he doesn’t have as much feats since he was fighting the other devils the fact that he was able to fight alongside Mereoleona shows some sign of relativity . [Mereoleona did get stronger after this so not as much relativity]
5) Nozel - He managed to injure and hurt Megicula. Megicula is stronger than 100% Vanica. 100% Vanica is stronger than some other captains like Charlotte and Rill.
6) Jack - His slashes can adapt anything over time. He was nerfed while fighting 100% Dante because of the Twin Devils attacks but could still slash him. [Although the slashes couldn’t do much because of Body Magic]
7) Dorothy - Mainly because of Glamour World since Moris got defeated by the base black bulls.
8) Charlotte - Feat wise I would probably put Charlotte over Dorothy however as I mentioned Glamour World kinda carries. Charlotte can react and endure attacks from 100% Vanica.
9) Rill - feats-wise Rill’s only good feats are matching Full power Spirit Dive Yuno from the Royal Knights Exam arc and reacting and enduring attacks from 100% Vanica. Twilight Valhalla would be extremely helpful tho.
10) Kaiser - has better feats than Gueldre
11) Gueldre - featless
No offense to ya but I honestly think mereoleona is 1, yami 2, Dorothy 3, since her magic is overpowered lol. 4 William , 5 fuegoleon and 6 jack, then so on

Hey big fan of the first channel. Can really tell you used to be a teacher. Think it was definitely the right move to split your content. I find it very weird how Dorothy is that low. I do say her ability is one of the strongest which only can be avoided with time magic or power that surpass time and space like Yami. She can create her own pocket dimension which is pretty ridiculous feet.

i was so upset when the anime ended where it did, I honestly think it would have been better if they didn't come back post time skip in the anime for like 12 episodes and tease us like that for a few years, it's brutal
Because of that BC became the first anime that I went to read the manga. I couldn't handle the anxiety.
It’s brutal but the cliffhanger will make us all jump to our seats to see the new episodes making it get on trending once again
Side note: William had known about Patri since he was a child. Not after he got into the Magic Knights.
Which is weird because didn't we see Patri reincarnate into William and William is already old enough to have a grimoire and therefore not really a child anymore. Especially since their difference in age would seem to indicate William was 16 when Patri reincarnated into him as Patri seems to have lived 10 years in William's body. And yet William has known about Patri since he was a little child. I never really got that part.
@@Arkayjiyai think it means that william knew he was sharing his body with another soul (aka patri) im guessing he started to get to know patri when patri finally awakened in william’s body when william was 16 yrs old

8.Rill-While I absolutely agree he's on the weaker side for now, that doesn't mean he's 8th place forever. With enough inspiration, he has potential to even overwrite concepts like the demons (technically giving immortality already overwrites the concept of death)
7:William-While he has insane magic, it's only an automatic win for lower tier mages, sapping mana won't matter when you're basically mana itself like mereleona or getting mana method.all the captains I rank above him are basically a counter to him with the exception of one,Nozel
6- Nozel-This guy is insane. Not only is mercury magic extremely flexible and all around great, his control over it basically managed to give him a win against megicula (except not really cuz yknow)
5-FuegoLeon-If we're going for current power, he hasn't shown much other than occasionally scaling to mereleona,obviously no easy feat. However, Once he achieves spirit dive, he will go far beyond that
4.Dorothy- Dream magic is just an insane trump card. Unless you have something that can LITERALLY alter dimensions or concepts, you have 0 chance of winning. she can do an autowin to every captain below her except for maybe rill.
3.Jack- Yes, I have put him a bit high, I actually wanted to put him below Dorothy except he could literally cut dreams if he wanted to, just like he cut gravity. if he could find a way to have an insane mana reserve like mana method or just downright make a blade around the magic of the enemy itself, he would be unstoppable.
2-Mereleona-went toe to toe with an ancient demon. same demon the first wizard king had trouble with. Basically mana incarnate. No questions asked
1-Yami-again, no questions asked. he can basically make his own anti magic with black moon and black hole, slash through dimensions, and basically has an autokill in death thrust

After watching your YKN about Shisui I have a theory to why some people dodge videos that arent Naruto on your main page (Well other than people who only consume Naruto content anyways.) Technically Kaiser was captain before Gueldre. Kaiser had stepped down from captain and Gueldre stepped up. The Kaiser gain position back after the traitor was apprehended.

Jack defies the manga rule, hes a commoner having a small mana pool and yet we never seen he depleted of mana, either his magic cost less or he have hidden royal blood line somewhere, ether way hes so lucky having op magic and hes my 2nd fav captain after yami, they deserve more respect from clover kingdom citizens
I mean his magic is just small blades. Compare that to how much fire Fuegoleon can create and you get why even with a much smaller mana pool, he never runs out of it. He is absurdly efficient in term of mana use.
