That double standard and objectification of women is gross. I have zero respect for men who "test drive" women and turn around and want one that hasn't been "test driven". It isn't just black-and-white selfishness; wealth dictates fertility. If you can own a home, and have a discretionary income to enjoy a family life, great. If you can't afford yourself a home, you can't support life with kids. If you have kids, you must raise them right, education and experiences cost money.

I’m not going outright say it’s about selfishness, but one thing I can say is that wealth does NOT dictate fertility . Quite the opposite if you look at the stats. The wealthier you are, the less kids you tend to have.
Whether you call it selfishness or just wanting a better opportunity to provide for your kids, it’s always the lower income brackets that have more kids.
I’m conflicted on how to approach this because I can see it from both ends. My parents had me and my brother when they were dirt poor. We lived in a single bedroom apartment but we got by with what we had. Obviously I wouldn’t have wanted that for my children, which is why I say I’m conflicted.

I would have been willing to have 12 children had I met the right person whom was financially stable at a younger age, unfortunately I did college, and it took me until 28 years old to find a competent moral husband, we now have six children and I had to work part-time during 11 of my childbearing years because he wasn’t making enough money! The problem is corporations NOT paying even IT workers enough to have large families. The stress of working partirme whilst also homeschooling full-time (do to money issues) caused me three miscarriages in a 13 yr period. The reality is woman’s physical bodies need to be in REST mode during childbearing years as much as possible and THAT is not supported by society anymore.

Having kids nowadays is such a big deal in a weird way. It’s not the same thing like 30,40 or more years ago. I’m a millennial and I always wanted to have proper family. It was my plan or somewhat a vision to have two kids and was open for more. But I married a wrong man and I learned the lesson of my life. Never again I said to myself. We had one child together, which is the only thing that was not wrong about it, although it is an immense struggle to do the co-parenting with that man. The point of my story is, as a woman you need to be damn sure if the man you are marrying is actually the right one for you. Otherwise you are going to suffer and your kids with you. Society needs kids, yes, but not just any kids in any way possible. Society needs healthy adults with healthy kids. And I don’t mean healthy in just physical terms, it’s more than that. That should be the goal.

Every man on this panel is WEALTHY enough to have kids! You’re speaking from priviledge! It’s not due to social media, abortion or feminism - it’s because (in London) it costs at an absolute minimum £1000 a month - JUST for daycare for ONE baby. Why do we need daycare, as we NEED to work, we are not all wealthy to be stay at home moms. The overall cost on top of daycare is over £2000 a month for just ONE child if you then want to give them a good education, opportunities for additional classes and development. Stop saying people who don’t have children are selfish! The average earner (£50-£60K) a year struggles to meet the monthly costs, and a lot of people don’t even earn that!

If you can think of the many possible adjustments to your lifestyle, and keep the raising of them on the simple/fundamental side, I think you’ll be okay. Perhaps more resources will eventually be available, but with keeping life simple, you can make due with less than most people realize. Love, communication (and basic educational materials for the first many years), simple diet, experiences that don’t always cost much (parks, short trips, volunteering), and your kid will already be doing well in their development. They are truly the blessings that have to be experienced, and cannot be grasped from an outside perspective.

The younger generation is more enlightened. I believe waiting is better.

  • @angelikazajac9885

Adam my response to you is that building something with someone from the start is better than meeting when you’re all set and done. You try to get women younger than you and then you have nothing in common with them.
Finding souse and mother for your kids is easier when you are similar by age and you have the same values. When Jen said what attracted Patric in her was her spark and motivation. They met through work and she impressed him. Men want women with whom they can share a life and deep conversation. It is hardly achievable if you have 20 years age gap and the power dynamic is off.
It is especially important in being a parent and giving good examples. Being a mother and giving your husband children is a privilege and women do that when they love a man not his status.

Oh my God no. The silver fox thing has left the building. Women, least the ones I know, laugh at that now. Please don't kid yourself. A "muscle car" - don't you get it. Tired of that double standard.
One thing tho, trust God. Was told I couldn't have children. Thus I barely dated in my 20s. Was up front and honest with a guy I dated. Most guys do want children, so I waited and met someone in my early 30s. Well, we had our first child when I was in my late 30s and another in early 40s. Here is the hint for not getting depressed if you are told you cannot have children. Accept it. If God wants you to have children you will. You just may have a big surprise around the corner and a second one down the road. Healthy and happy children.
Men don't by into that whole, well I can get a wife in my 40s, 50s or even 60s. Sometimes it just doesn't work out. Besides, now a days... when everyone seems to be waiting. Those younger ladies will pick the younger men. The experienced muscle car thing is of the past. Bad analogy back than; even worse now. Men on the panel that think they can wait, stop with that thought. That analogy is one of the reasons we are in this mess.
Stop saying women in their 40s or even 50s can't have children, naturally. It's happening. This whole ageism has to stop as well. What was said about the so called "muscle car" is part of the problem. You can't deny it...
For the men about Alpa males... the study with wolves, remember that? That was wrong! The scientist who wrote that paper, was studying wolves in captivity. When they studied the wolves in nature decades later, they found something different. The alpha male is really the head of a family of wolves / cubs. There are only 2 alpha males on the your panel. Any male Without a Family are Betas. No matter how much the other 2 think they are Alphas, they are Not. See Anton ... he is a youtuber that uncovered that truth. He is trying to get the word out about the newer study. He is a science dude, follows alot of the discoveries in science and physics. Time to get married, you single guys on the panel - your clock is ticking too - now probably more so. No one wants a used muscle car, especially when we want children. Sorry to burst your bubble. My goodness don't ever give that analogy (it sounds f"ing stupid, it sounds like - it's all about you) Remember what family is? To be able to build something together. You want to build wealth yourself, than give conditions to your future wife.
That whole what is an Alpha human male c*ap came out...pretty much the same time the whole male bashing thing came out.
I could go on an on... really enjoy your podcasts- I recommend your channel to men all the time. Especially the business aspect. One day, found a guy who already watches your podcast... funniest thing - we high fived in a parking lot. Hope to show your podcast to my future son in laws.

When we had our second to make more money I started a small framing buisiness and have worked hard at that sinse. Every new addition to our family an old man from our church would always tell me "when God gives you a new baby, he gives you the bread to feed it too" and that has definitely been true for us so far.

It’s unfortunate to see many people believe raising yours kids requires more than it actually does. We can desire a college fund for our kids, but it’s not required. The requirements are very fundamental and that’s truly enough. Knowing what a proper education is (not likely to receive it from the public schools), and giving your kids the love, time, morality, discipline, fundamental resources, will very likely lead to strong, developed, and very capable young people. From there they will be able to make due, and likely excel with the proper education and family upbringing. The family life brings so much positive, but people hesitate with the uncertainties.

Women entered the workforce with the feminist movement around the 70s and wages for men dropped dramatically as the workforce doubled and salaries were split between 2 people. Previously a family could be supported by 1 income from an average earning man which is no longer possible.
Combine that with the skyrocketing property prices and young people literally can’t afford to raise a family with 2 incomes, let alone in a traditional manner with a stay at home wife and providing husband. This is the number 1 reason in my mind birth rates are plummeting world wide, it literally is unaffordable for most people and is getting worse.

I don’t get why men say that women have a hard time getting pregnant in their 30s and 40s. My best friend is married and 42, she had twins last year with no problems.

My cousin had a geriatric pregnancy and her baby lived for a few months, covered with tubes going into every orifice. She literally wouldn’t let the poor thing go even though it had issues with not only with its brain but every single system in its body. She sent pictures every week if not every day and it was just sad. Everyone knew that baby wouldn’t make it. She neglected her other children just to spend her life for those few months at the hospital. I’m sure her children had some thoughts about that. Like they weren’t that baby so they didn’t matter anymore. That made me not EVER want a baby late in life. I decided there if I wasn’t going to have one in my early 30’s I’m not having one at all. Other factors contributed to that decision too but man, so bad!!!!

People shouldn’t have kids if they can’t afford them. Raising children in poverty is not the goal. Raising kids who are not wanted by both parents is not the goal.

Ugh. I hate the advice of waiting until you’re older to have kids. Marry young, grow in your marriage and God for at least 3 years and have your first. Enjoy your kids’ youth while you’re also youthful.
I do BJJ with my son at 38. I love it. When I’m 45 he will be in college and we will still be rolling.

Our society was much better when everyone was a quasi adult at 14 when the 8th grade ended and you went to adult work. Although you weren't a true adult till 21 adulthood began at 14. 14 to 20 was pre adulthood no such thing as a teenager then 21 was adulthood

@@robertsmith6188 probably wouldn’t be bad if high school wasn’t a teenage daycare. Too many kids in high school shouldn’t be there because they’ve already made up their minds to be useless.

I love how everyone ignores how expensive it is to have a child. It’s not always about being selfish. Look at the economy. What about the economy says it’s a great time to make a human being. The abortion conversation never addresses how much money is apart of the whole thing. The more babies being born the more money the economy generates. Everything is about money.

Dad died in his 40's. Mom had to raise four kids by herself for 20+ years on a teacher's salary.
All well and good to have kids assuming you are able to avoid a disaster. Let people do what
they want. The world will not run out of people any time soon. Trust me. The problem isn't fertility rate.
The problem is population distribution. I'm pretty sure India doesn't have an under population problem.
But certain people like Anne Coulter wouldn't want Indian immigrants in America now would she?

😢 No one thinks about how hard pregnancy is on a woman's body and how we are left with no support. It's 1000 percent difficult to raise children. We are not living in the same time frame anymore. I could go on, but I won't. I will receive backlash for this, but I wish we could really cherish good mothers and women for what they do.

Main reason Americans are not having kids is because they are not finding suitable marriage partner early enough in life and they do not have the money to afford a family. You might say that’s selfish but I say that’s being practical. Too many people already sponging off the government and they have no shame or self respect.

But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God-

Read some of the comments of the Karen’s and how that is relating to being rich or conspiracies. It’s sad. Kids are a blessing. I have 4 children. It’s hard. I’m a working mom. My husband works. It’s expensive. But I agree new generation doesn’t want to live so hard. Sad
