Love the videos man! Quick tip I wish I knew when I first got Grizzly - When you're turning on diff lock , turn the handlebars back and forth to get it engaged before you gas it. It won't bog down like it did in the video and will decrease the pucker factor if you need to engage it on an incline... Trust me that's how I found out on my Griz lol Anyways, awesome content- keep it coming! 👍
Thanks for the tip! I’ve also noticed that the built in rev limiter is a nuisance. I recently figured out that the diff lock works a lot better in high gear then low, since I can build speed before hitting 4000 rpm
Thank you! I love making them! I'm glad you enjoy my videos, I'm doing my best to learn how to make really fun content. And you can't go wrong with a Grizzly! I'm glad I bought one
Yep, I'll agree with the other guys below that said 4wd low would have been your best bet. That way all 4 wheels are being held back at once. You could see that it was only your rear wheels skipping a bit. That is the problem with not having a clutch and being able to manage the friction point. Also don't be scared of the front brake, if the rear is sliding it's all you have left. If the rear is sliding like that and you have ample room to run out of the hill before a turn you could always give it a little throttle to bring the rear wheels back in line, then use all 4 breaks to slow down without the slide. A little goose of the throttle will always snap the back end back in line if it's going sideways. Just don't over do it and don't panic. Always keep your eyes up and be looking for "oh shit" lines you can take if you have to.
One more thing, you keep making me laugh by saying "where do all of these trails go"..... That's the point! Go find out! Haha! I say that every time I pass a trail even driving around in my truck. You have the bug for sure! If you haven't yet, go check out KC ATV, great channel, good people.
So true! I had a section of footage talking about "enjoy the not-knowing, because once you know all the trails the mystery is gone", but the footage was at a bad angle and didn't come out good. But I totally agree with you. I was a bit nervous at the time after my experience with the hill climb, but I think if I went back and did it right I would be open to trying the other hill climb on this trail
I always use equal pressure on front and rear brakes together, you get a smooth controlled stop and if you do it all the time in an emergency you will hit both brakes and not slide or fishtail out of control 😉 Now if I can get it thru my wives head. Also being in 4wd can help control in a lot of different situations. You might not need 4wd to get up it just makes it easier going up and down somethings... Nice video, keep the rubber side down....lol. I have a 2021 Grizzly EPS and the wives is a 2021 Kodiak eps 700. She moved up from a 450 Kodiak. The 700 is just so much better.
There was another portion of the trail that had another hill climb, however I took one look at it and went around. I'm not sure if that is shown in the video or not.
Yeah man, if you would of had it in 4, it would have cruised down just like that Honda. I don't advise using brakes on hills if you can avoid it, sometimes it's like braking on ice. Great video, I like the added commentary.
I don't have a mic, this is a gopro 10 mounted on the helmet and it can pick up my voice. I do a little audio editing to enhance the voice and lower the engine noice and that's it!

Love watching your videos man. Gonna get me a grizzly in spring and I cannot wait

They must have changed the trail because there was a steeper climb out when I was last there. It was only about half as high but steeper.

Thank you! I definitely learned something that day: keep it in 4 low and don't use breaks. I can't wait to try it out again to compare results.
Where can I get a gopro mic like the one you use? I need one because when i record videos The gopro never picks up my voice.

@@benjirides218 oh, I started using a mic now and it's a huge improvement. GoPro hero8.
Where’s the hill ?
