Then suddenly from the sky a 250lb. construction worker falls out of the sky and lands right on top of you and breaks every bone in your body, you wouldn't be very happy about it. Also, say you are hiding under a tree from the weather when the wind shifts and a 200lb. handsome blue eyed German ski instructor named Horst slams right into you out of nowhere instantly killing you. So you see that there actual dangerous consequences for many people if it did to start raining actual real men. Imagine the horrors in India when during their fierce monsoon rains that it did actually start to rain lots of real men. Oh, the humanity!

I was at Backstreet in Fort Lauderdale when they debuted this song! Nobody knew who "The Weather Girls" were! They asked for a larger than usual cover charge to see them and we were not about to pay that! Then the door person said that they were "2 Tons Of Fun"!!! Of course we wanted to see them! I think Paul Schafer, who wrote the song , renamed them! And they were originally back up singers for the Disco Queen...Sylvester!
Martha named them Two Tons of Fun but what they didn’t know was another group already had that name, so they changed their name to The Two Tons. Paul Jabari and Martha came up with the name The Weather Girls during the recording and they renamed themselves afterward
