I can't believe these posts I'm reading that a fellow Shenmue fan is no longer with us... He was the same age as me and was playing the game on the DC at the same age, too. I wish the best for his family who are missing him the most.

That was cool... I did my own Shenmue trip... but I went to Guilin. Awesome place and kinda looked like the game... if you go far enough from the City. Beautiful karst landcape and rivers... I went to Japan 3 weeks ago but didn't have time to do a Shenmue trip this time... Eventhough, one of my "traveling goals", corny and nerdy as it sounds is to visit every country feature in Street Fighter. So far I have Brazil, England, Italy, Germany, Spain, China, Thailand and Japan on my bag.
Don't know this guy but I share his passion for Shenmue and I'm glad he got to check out the location of Shenmue and got his nerd on before he passed away! LOL
