There were two interesting recurring questions in this interview; should the news be entertaining and would this conversation be more interesting if it was controversial. But the answer is completely dependent on the audience. Hasan describes himself as a "news junkie". He doesn't think that the news is boring at all. And I haven't seen a single comment here which claims that *this* interview was boring.
It's funny how many people in the comment section defend him because he's a great person who helps many others. Meanwhile, those who dislike him are often the same person who respond to every comment simply because they are fans of another streamer.😂😂
It's not about one side being more virtuous or moral than the other; It's that what one side is presenting is objectively correct, and what the other side is espousing is aggressive, violent, and harmful.
Yep, one site gives everyone healthcare, health, stability and much more. The other wants the same thing but for those who think theyre demigods at the top
@woodencat5990 Yeah it's a bit clunky. I shouldn't have framed things as existing on a spectrum as it suggests I'm referring to the republican and democratic parties specifically. What I am referring to is more philosophical ideology, I guess more accurately what I mean to say is there are those who understand that there is a basic quality of life and expectation of opportunity that should exist outside of 'politics'; and there are those that instead use politics to leverage working class wages into improving the quality of life for a select few.
@@Stuharris I feel like that's pretty directly related to morality and virtue though no? One side is framed as more selfless, understanding and educated, the other as more violent/aggressive, stubborn, and ignorant. I mean you literally use the terms "objectively correct" to describe one side and "harmful" to describe another. I feel as if it's pretty disengenous if the precursor basically implies that no side has any moral levrage over the other and then proceeding to state reason why one side is better than the other. I just wish you were more upfront about it is all
@@woodencat5990 when you say “framing” that’s seemingly disingenuous coupled with you spamming comments about a video from another creator about why people hate Hasan and you add “rightfully so”, that means if the substance we go consume in that video is more objective things being portrayed falsely as subjective to avoid shattering a preconceived notion or belief, it’s not “rightfully so”. That would be subjective bias speaking and overriding objective truths. Back to this comment specifically: They’re not speaking on how others “frame” them, you are. Rather how those opposing ideologies present themselves, and what voters on each side are willing to tolerate from their side even if they don’t agree. Not everyone on the right is “ignorant” or any of those things listed, but what they are willing to ignore to maintain their original beliefs speaks more to people than the actual beliefs themselves. Saying “framing” makes it seem like an opinion. If one side says the sky is blue and the grass is green, and the other side says vice-versa, unless we now live on Namek instead of Earth, they are objectively false. Framing it as a matter of subjective opinion is disingenuous and misinformation. I will be more blunt since you requested it and say there has been a shift to the left in the states (and other countries) on an ideological level for 30+ years because the left side seeks to not exclude others for their differences while the other wants them to conform to a unified approach based heavily in personal beliefs. All the justifications we heard for such an approach over those years has shown to bear no truth in the end. Every other aspect really becomes ancillary to those overarching differences of inclusion vs exclusion in the long-term. Some people aren’t bold enough to flat out say one is objectively morally more corrupt, but it’s implied that will always be the case. The most foolish take would be that there is anything equal about both sides. Like both sides are “just as corrupt”. That’s a logical fallacy, nothing is precisely equal in any regard. One side is certainly more corrupt than the other, it’s up to the viewer to work on their media literacy and personal growth to better understand what is an objective matter and what is subjective. The person above was certainly bringing up an objective matter. Especially in the United States where the youth lean more and more left every 4 years and the oldest, most right-leaning demographics that are dying out. The polarization today is the only thing keeping the right alive in national and global scale politics, which trickles down to state, city and county level politics as polarization marches forward. We all can tell your biases by how many contrarian comments you made in the past 24 hours on this video btw.

I have been watching Hasan since 2014-2015 when he would pop up on my Facebook with a white background telling talking heads to debate him. I fell off with the internet for a while, heard some stuff about him and somehow I decided he wasn't a good person. Once I became active online again it took a while but he pulled me back in. It just goes to show how effective the out of context clips are in souring the name of someone who genuinely wants to change society for the better. He’s got his blind spots don’t get me wrong, but I typically leave his videos/ streams with a better understanding of the political climate globally without the sterile new caster type of messaging that usually just depresses anyone in the room

I highly recommend watching a hasanabi industrial complex clip of his discussion about the drama with twitch streamer Sketch (especially in case his outright political commentary feels 'too much' for a newcomer). I think it illustrates Hasan at his best- logical, thoughtful, empathetic- with righteous anger and searing humor, he eloquently articulates how seemingly random internet drama fits into an important larger context. His voice and his thoughts are really needed in the world today. His broadcast makes me feel less alone in the world, because before finding his broadcast I found myself consuming mainstream news and just saying to myself, "WTF wtf WTF!?" Now I'm part of a community that encourages critical thinking. Thanks Hassy, love ya brother!

I love Hasan. I seriously wouldn’t have gotten involved or as aware of politics in my country and the world if it weren’t for Hasan. He speaks in terms that I can understand and I generally agree with him on most things. Not everything but most things.

Hasan is pretty great. He's pretty pragmatic while trying to advocate for politics policies that are meant to help the majority of people. He's willing to be an a-hole to people who advocate terrible things, even those that do so with a calm voice. There are people who will temper themselves and speak calmly while advocating for the most hateful ideas. He's not going to manipulate you like they are, he actually speaks his mind with the same energy behind it.

It’s usually Destiny supporters, XQC fans and recently it’s been the Dr.Disrespect fanboys
@@juicerslayerYour nickname proves the point
It's not about one side being more virtuous or moral than the other; It's that what one side is presenting is objectively correct, and what the other side is espousing is aggressive, violent, and harmful.
Yep, one site gives everyone healthcare, health, stability and much more. The other wants the same thing but for those who think theyre demigods at the top
You basically just said: "it's not X, it's Y (Y=X)" lol

I relate to him on so many levels whether it's the issues we care about or simply the way he reacts and discusses topics and explains things. Even when he flips out it's very reminiscent of my own flippant moments. I admire him on so many levels and he has been a great role model in my political awakening. He's helped a lot becoming an adult and navigating a life within America where I have yet to participate in an election where Trump wasn't a looming threat.
