Goodness me I was once respocible for Spalding station from 2006 I remember very well Spalding as a full multiple platformed station from 1975 always came down as a kid for the flower show Ironically not for the flowers but for the variety of locomotives & special trains I have travelled over this rail line featured behind 40081 hauling a rake of MK1s special train (Joint liner special) it was called by BR March Spalding joint line closure 40081 with headboard What Memories Any Guesses to which avoiding line closed at the same time as the Marsh To Spalding rail line
