Back in the '80s, I used to cruise Highway 1 a lot, and I would drive through Sea Ranch. It was a newly developed community back then, abd you could buy a house there for $50,000. My landlady got a flyer from them, urging her to hurry up and buy before all the properties were gone.
I have never ridden horseback there, but I did in Mendocino and Half Moon Bay. Boy I'm glad I did it while I had the chance!

it’s still being built out.. there’s about 1850 houses and 2300 lots so you can still build!

@@basehead617 - thanks for letting me know. I checked it out, and there's actually a 3 quarter acre lot selling for $85,000! If I were to return to California, I'd consider it.

I have never seen a horse or cowboys at Sea Ranch and my family has had a home there since the 1980s

Have you never driven through the equestrian center directly adjacent to hwy. 1? Literally right there. Over 40 years hiding in plain sight.

Depending on where you live, could be a hurricane, tornado or wildfire. Maybe you have a preference for a particular natural disaster.

@@karldunnegan2689 California does have it's environmental limitations that do lead to wild fires during our normal drought cycles.
