- China is nearing another step towards an era with three carriers in commission as its newest aircraft carrier, the Fujian, began the maiden sea trials on Wednesday morning.

Building too many unnecessary aircraft carriers would be a wasteful of resource that could be a burden instead. More nuclear powered submarines and 052D and 055 ships would make better sense. 052D destroyers have been used a lot for missions. But definitely more than 6 nuclear powered aircraft carriers. New development of Ai aircraft fighters and bombers might be unnecessary to have big aircraft carriers. LHD transport ships might be sufficient. Long range ballistic anti ship missiles a serious threat to big aircraft carriers. But China need and build them as long as she can afford them. But don’t over do it

Probably Philippines have is R.C aircraft carrier.

Why are they building these things? The US has a lot of aircraft carriers, but they just look like vulnerable targets. There are a growing number of countries with hypersonic missiles that could easily sink them. Although the US doesn't have that technology, it should only be a matter of time. If an aircraft carrier were attacked like that, aside from the cost and time spent to build it, there would be thousands of people needing a rescue and probably a lot of dead sailors too. It doesn't seem like the best strategy to build aircraft carriers anymore.
That's why each carrier has its own battle group which included cruisers, destroyers, frigates, submarines, and of course supply ships. An Aircraft Carrier on its own is vulnerable. But with a battlegroup combined with other types of ships and loaded with Aircrafts is very formidable to its enemies.
