I graduated from HTH back in 2008, spent two years on the robotics team there, and fell in love with that school. Sadly I didn't stick with engineering but this program has helped me get into my now masters program (and hopefully my eventual PhD). I can never thank them enough for what they did, just wish more schools were like they are.
I've attended HTH since my freshman year, and I'm happy I can say that! My main takeaway was being introduced the Adobe Creative Suites and photography/video, and I've taken what I've learned there and run with it. I started my own business with a friend and we're already working for others and helping make a difference in the local and global community. Much of what we know came from studying on our own time, but HTH gave us the foundation we needed. Search J & J Multimedia San Diego on Google
I recently left teaching because I was not allowed to do Project Based Learning. Our new principal decided he wanted us to simply teach to the test. I hope one day to find a school where creativity and risk taking is encouraged.
Riverside Preparatory School in Oro Grande, California prescribes to the PBL model. I am a teacher there and it is a truly inspirational place to work.
This video is a validation of what I believe education should be. I am inspired by his passion for learning by doing. Having students behaving like: Engineers, Doctors, carpinters, teachers.... is simple awesome.
good idea. Problem is that this costs a bunch, and he said there were 600 kids at the school. That's tiny, my graduating class alone was 700, and my school wasn't that big. Its also hard nowadays to find those "good" teachers.

"You can study the world through anything"
A really inspiring video and it's sad that this is the exception, rather than the rule
I wish I could see a demonstration spanish class/lesson online. I really want to know how they approach foreign language study like this
Wow - very intelligently presented. I am learning to be a teacher, and this is where I want to teach.
IT IS almost AUTOPOIETIC EDUCATION! Bravo!
