- Looking for a Basic Mountaineering Course in India, The Nehru Institute Of Mountaineering is one of the prestigious institutes from where prominent people such as Bachendri Pal did her mountaineering course.
It is situated in Uttarkashi, at an altitude of 4200 M. The BMC is a 28 days course where you will learn Rock craft, Snow crafts and Ice Crafts.
My course was BMC 275, that was held in October 2022. But unfortunately, I got injured and had to leave the course after 6 days.

Best wishes brother ! take care and do things with safety, as they always had safety ropes attached. If I had done with little care, I may had completed the course without the injury.

NIMS walo ne next course mein aane ke liye allowed nhi kara kya? coz you didn't complete the course?
Bro when I was sent back, their doctors said operate first and then come back... Initially I was thinking for that but then I never went back ! Because for me there is no point spending 2-3 lakhs for operation...
Halaki If I apply they will accept it.. But then Agar mera shoulder 6 saal baad fir se dislocate ho sakta hai to fir 1-2 saal me fir se possibility hai So... I decided not to go there again !! As for me shoulder dislocation results a 5-6 months of Restrictions of everyday activities...
And I am too afraid go go through that again 😔
But there are courageous people who can go, but I am not one of those !!

28 Days ka, and 20 Thousands ! NIMAs ka mujhe ek dost mila tha to usne kaha ki 32 days tak bhi chala gaya tha course.
Indemnity bond kaise bhare?
Mujhe jaha tak yaad hai wo bond online available hota hai aur usme basic details bharni hoti hai jaisay naam, fathers name etc.. aur last me parents ke sign.. wo pdf nim ki website se hi download hua tha... aap search karna..

How to reach NIM from dehradoon

There is a Govt Bus from Dehradun to Uttarkashi. You can book online. first go to www.utconline.uk.gov.in/ Or Visit the DEHRADUN HILL STATION (UTTARAKHAND) Bus station. It is near the Railway station. From there you will get the bus to Uttarkashi. Bus timing is 5:30 AM .
Apart from that as I did not went from Dehradun, but I have heard that shared cabs might run from there which you can research online !!

Nahi mam, aap direct apply kar saktay hain. Koi exam nahi hai. AApko fee pay karni hoti hai.. Alag alag websites me dekh saktay hain aap NIM Uttarkashi, NIMAS Arunachal, ABVIMAS Himachal Pradesh, HMI Darjelling. aap inme se kisi se bhi kar aktay hain.. inki official websites se aapko time ka idea lag jayaga ki kab seat khali hai..
