Seeing more small and light 4K micro-OLED headsets being announced/revealed makes this the best time in VR history since the original headsets back in 2016, imo. Biggest inflection point in overall quality of VR headsets, with some dream-level specs finally happening.
If someone can build a usb c with dp compute buck for headsets like these, they would be quite the ultimate PCVR & media/display replacement devices. Then you could also do wireless PCVR with compression, or plug directly to your computer.
@@mixedrealityTV my thoughts are; I’m still only Quest 3 rich. So for now, sadly, I’m stuck in Meta’s Monopolistic Technocratic Feudal ecosystem as an XR solution 🙁 That said, it seems super dope
I think for myself I'm waiting for higher refresh rate headset i tried my old pimax 5k a 144hz in table tennis it looked average but i was much better at the game and boxing as-well. i was really gutted my crystal only goes to 120hz not 160hz like they said it could do.
So i mainly want a high end vr for watching 4k movies and 3D movies. But when i hear WOW WOW WOOOOW!!! When you were watching the demo I was sold already just waiting to hear more about this headset.
@@mixedrealityTV the best part about XR is bringing people together across all parts of the world and all walks of life. There are only 3 of these 4k4k small form factor headsets announced so far. So not sure how they are all the same. All have quite notable differences, like meganenx does not have inside out tracking system, and no eye tracking. Pimax promises both. And this has inside out tracking and possibly will have eye tracking.
A new contender has arrived.😅. I like this one. Might be even better than the dream air and Meganex. It kinda reminds me of the HTC vive flow/xr elite design too. Which I thought was really cool.
I am still on the lookout for the perfect mixed vr set to use in my Full-scale F16 simulator. This unit might need a bit more badass styling, a bit more industrial or military
It’s tempting since it also works as a monitor for switch or a steam deck. Great idea! But FOV seems too narrow for people like me who play sim. Anyway design looks good to me, very nerdy in a good way.
2000 dollars with one of the descripions being its not to bad. I dont think so. He didnt comment on the laggy tracking tracking. Not good! Im looking for a quest 3 like headset for no more than 2000 dollars
ugghhhh.. 2K USD bob-a-rino's.. I'm actually ok with the short comings of my PSVR2 for PC, that 5-6 times cheaper. But then again, its not the same marked. I'm just hoping that those HALO products will trickle down to us peasants at some point.
Sebastian's official ALIAS NAME is now .... "Binocular Overlap" ... hahaha! lol! ... Short Name ... "BiOverlap" ... Hey! BiOverlap .. How are you? lol! ... Because there is nothing on this Planet more important for him that the VR headsets Binocular Overlap.
Thnx to apple the prices of the headsets are going to the moon. Who has 2k or more for a headset ? I don't and I never will. Not to mention the beefy pc you need to go with those headsets
Always skeptical of people saying they have a better product already built. My question to them is why do they go to CES with a lower quality sample? Just like Pimax, they are full of 💩
MicroOLED FOV is small because the panels themselves are much smaller, it's a feat to maintain the same FOV let alone increase it. Maybe when miniLED becomes cheaper we will see increases in FOV due to bigger panels
Same! I'm not necessarily interested in super high resolution, it's usually too much to play with high/max graphics settings anyway. Rather have 2k, 120hz, 120+ fov, oled and good audio.
Rich people buy shit all the time that they dont need. Do you wan to know the secret to earn a crap ton of money? Sell crap to rich people at a ridiculous markup. You dont make money selling thingys for pennis on the dollar to peasants like you and me.
@@mignotmaxime2409 I'm just saying that the actual aesthetic design, of the exterior of a headset is like the least concerning metric about a VR headset. You're going to be alone most of the time anyway. I wouldn't care, that in order to get the best visual quality, eye tracking, IPD adjustment, etc etc. at a decent price, that it had to look like a giant dildo on my face.

Looks very promising!!!
Now we need Standalone Android XR Headsets with 4k Micro OLED panels !!!
I couldn't believe he didn't know who you were haha 😆. You're easily the biggest vr reviewer
I hope you do more long format videos. At least an hour, those are my favorites.

Hello from Cincinnati
@ O! - H!
it really feels to me like all the headsets coming out using those sony panels are just all gonna be the same headset in a different package
Well the more demand for it we can expect the price to go way down
If true then MeganeX package looks most comfortable to me.
If the image is great then I can live with that.
Others are not Sony panels

That's the best looking HMD I've ever seen.
I was thinking the opposite.

I like its two dots design.
Still waiting for a Micro OLED with good passthrough/MR for my sim. Will stick with my Q3 until that turns up.

I need SteamVR lighthouse tracking for my 6DOF motion platform.
That looks uncomfortable on the nose. Your reaction to these sounds good. :)
It's either 200g VR with unusable FOV or 800g brick on your head, nothing in between😟
When oled panels will be resist to burn in I will buy it, not before. Playing mil jet sims with head up displays are perfect example for this.
Thats not an issue with VR. The image is constantly moving/changing. So no static content.

2k for that hideous thing? 😂 maybe $500
Hope it's great but lost me at $2000

Micro oled with pancake is impossible for fov
Build me this pod for 3K :0
2000$ => Game over
For you maybe.
Do you want 4k Micro OLED panels for free???
I guess up to $1999 is okay for him.
I think it's ok for everyone who wants to buy the pimax super for example
@@Anakin-dl6eb how much do those micro oleds cost to make? doubt its enought to justify 2000$

Yawn. Another micro-OLED with small FOV. Once this tech can achieve 120+ FOV I’ll be interested.
Yup. They are not solving the main problem that people want fixed. FOV FFS.
MicroOLED FOV is small because the panels themselves are much smaller, it's a feat to maintain the same FOV let alone increase it. Maybe when miniLED becomes cheaper we will see increases in FOV due to bigger panels
Agreed. I keep my Aero until something with a wide FOV appears. Most headsets are 90-120 degrees.

The price of the XEO Pod is too high: the poor can't afford it, and the rich don't need it.
I think you mean that you can’t afford it. You can’t speak for anyone else.
Rich prople buy expensive Homecinemas where the sound is still much better and more persons can use it!!!
You are right! The price should be around 5k. That is still quite expensive!

AI voice and AI translation in french are really Bad ..

I like the looks of it
You do play your VR games from INSIDE the headset right? Just making sure.
