Addiction is something that a ton of people struggle with, to include myself. It’s not as simple to give up something that you are used to using to help you cope with pain. Thankfully I am covered by the VA and have started to receive the proper care to address my issues with alcohol but we definitely need to be more mindful and apathetic towards those who are still struggling ❤

I've been aware that I've been an alcoholic for years now. And it wasn't until I turned 40 that I chose to stop. I'm almost 2 years sober now. And trust me sobriety isn't easy and I had to avoid going to functions or people's houses because there'd be alcohol all around you.
