Very good operator on the excavator with those big rocks.
I understand this is a volcano so is dangerous.
Simple tractor with an angle blade, cheap keep the road smooth and faster turn around for trucks. Makes sense, truck can only do 10 Klm, smooth road they be doing 30klm.

I've never seen single axle dump trucks hauling the tonnage these guys haul.

You'd think the independent drivers and Company fleet operators would chip in, on the cost to maintain the
haul road. But, then the quarry should do that anyway ?
The cost of truck repair has got to exceed that cost by a lot. Springs, shocks, clutches, TIRES, FRAMES,
dump bodies and general longevity of the truck(s) too.
It's hard to believe a single axle with springs can handle a load like that!
Those truck aren't the same as American trucks. The metal is stronger and beefed up. They wont let those trucks be driven in America. Even the South American Trucks aren't allowed to be driven in the US. We get the cheaply made stuff that get thrown away unless it is babied. If an American Dump Truck tips over it is totaled. If a South American Dump Truth gets turned over they just flip it upright and dust it off and bob's your uncle. It's all about who can lobby the hardest in America. The truck industry lobbies hard to keep the quality trucks from being manufactured.

I load unload different metals rails hms pns packs shavings etc. If a driver is in the truck ill stop for safety issues and its annoying when you have to stop and tell them

I guess they don't see the benefit in using a grader on the roads.

@@MrZygy3 Wasting time and money? If one thing is wasted time and money its the road in current state. Grader, dozer or wheel loader can smoothen the road, which means faster transport + safer conditions, eventually paying itself back and even more.
@@ExeQtd That's why you don't know how is the real time and condition situation here, if you are here then you will choose to do not use that your opinion. They are using concrete paving right now, but not fully paved, some of the part of the road still on gravel, and they use manually reparation for the bad road. Concrete paving will finished on the 2020. In 2010, massive volcano eruption have big impact to the asphalt paving before. A measured response there, I must say.
When there’s only one excavator, that governs cycle times. It would make no difference if truck speeds are increased. It’s not rocket science just a bit of math and common sense.
