For ears, a quick sandwich of gauze and a wrap to hold the ear to the head overnight will generally do the trick. Can use a cohesive bandage like coflex or vetrap, or a snugly fitting band of sweatshirt sleeve. Wont usually hurt anything to leave it alone til after work unless it's bleeding very badly, then Id pack with cornstsrch, cover witj gauze and bandage. (Pack the wound not the ear.)

I have so much to say about this and am tongue-tied, fine shooting, Otto is a beautiful beast of high intelligence, great retriever, and your mate is awesome, there's some good camera skills and basically a very good doc of a hunt. they have a bounty for them being there so invasive. 5$ for the small ones 10$ for the big ones. you can make some money culling them. they used to not survive the winters but latly the florda winter have been mild and they have been thriving not only that they have been evolving to acully survive the cold weather.

    • @peanutdecided6256

yes, one of the bacterias causes botulism and i always worried about my dog getting botulism because she loved catching iguanas. lots of dogs get sick in FL after a cold snap because it knocks the lizards out of trees and makes them easy for dogs to catch.

As far as I know, the state of Florida has never done anything about the importation of invasive species. But if they have, then they allow breeders to continue to produce them for sale in pet shops only for the owners to release them when they tire of them, I.e. Burmese python. I personally think there is something wrong with people wanting snakes and lizards as pets.

You have a lot of work to do with your dog. I would _never_ tolerate that disregard of instruction just because of capture excitement. In the wrong circumstance, disregard like that can get a dog killed. I am thinking particularly of some working dogs near a river not far from me where spawning salmon were dying--a great temptation to them, but often deadly due to a toxin. The dogs that heeded their owners' instructions immediately were spared; the rest presented their owners with a significant vet-hospital bill, and at least one did not survive.
