dude, you rock. Thank you. Way more ethical than what first crossed my mind. lol
I know this is an older video, but just wanted to share my experience: Those hose clamps they use at the factory are CRAP. The cause (at least for mine) for the motor quitting, is that water was leaking around the end of the hose.....where those hose clamps were failing. I too have been thru a couple fixes like the one in your video, however once I put some proper hose clamps on there, the "dry portion" of the pump actually stays dry and so far I'm on season 3 with the same motor after this fix.
I'm going to do it the next pump fix so far my fix is still working a year later
I saw another video about these misting fans and the creator said to run it a few minutes dry when you are finished to keep the pump working I been doing that so far this summer to see if it lasts
Thanks for the info. for the pump.
Thanks for posting this. Am I missing the link?
Nevermind. I found it. Thank you..
Could yo please send a link for those pumps ? The one I found didn't come with the actual pump only the motor and the guy says he's out of the pumps

why didn't you just install a better pump?
its the same type of pump and has to be able to fit into the fan housing. I don't know if they make a better type water is going to degrade the efficiency and eventually break it down eventually regardless
