    👍🏻👏🏻🙏🏻 Really good tutorial on how to use this. I have this plugin, but with this plugin I can do much more than I knew. Didn‘t know all the aspects of this plugin. I‘ve also got CLA-plugins (bass, drums, …)

    What order does the plugin work in?
    Does it EQ the signal, then compress the EQ effected signal?

    • @MTTC
      @MTTC  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks a lot for the positive feedback Christian. There’s no specific detail on the signal flow between each processor as far as I understand. However one can tell pretty quickly what is happening once the controls are adjusted and if compensation is needed in another. All in all a fantastic processor. Cheers 😀

    A de-esser would've been nice on this. It would've made it very complete.

    There are so many plugins like Cla vocals however I have a love hate relationship.. If you are an extreme amateur this can change your sound, But if you are advance you can find how complicated this plugin actually is.. Always recommend placing this on a bus along with a de-esser and maybe one Eq for subtractive Eq

    • @MTTC
      @MTTC  ปีที่แล้ว

      I couldn’t agree more with you. This unit produces fantastic results for creatives who are not necessarily experienced or interested in being sound engineers. It’s also a tremendous tool for guys who do want to go deeper and use it in combination with other plugins. Excellent comment. Cheers 😀

    What do you think about using Vocal Rider before *and* after CLA vocals?

    • @MTTC
      @MTTC  ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question. I’d recommend you using the Vocal Rider as the last plugin in the chain. Think of it as you physically controlling the channel fader 🎚️ on a mixing console as the final stage of a mix. 😀

    What's up bruv?! Do you know if this plugin adds a (color) to the sound or is this just a transparent vocal processor?

    • @MTTC
      @MTTC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey there thanks for the question. Yes the CLA Vocal processor does colour the sound of the vocals. As soon as you switch it in you can hear the tonal change which I find to be a warming tone. As you apply compression you also hear the tonal changes there besides the gain reduction. It’s all very subtle but very pleasing as well. Cheers 😀

    Dude! Wish I would have known about this before I picked up the waves little plate and H-delay plugins. This makes it so simple for me to just record my vocals. Was becoming very complex, trying to learn how to engineer, while performing. Any other plugins similar to this that just make life easier when recording? Thanks for this.

    • @MTTC
      @MTTC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes my friend there are tools out there that just make the process so much easier. Another amazing suite I use almost every single day is iZotope Nectar. It’s a complete solution for vocal processing in a single unit. Definitely worth trying out the 14 day free fully operational demo version 😀

      @@MTTC So just so I understand this. This cla vocal. Firstly, I am assuming, the processor on my imac, is working way less, than having multiple plug ins, on vocal tracks. Also, im a little confused on gain staging, as I am using the dbx 286s. Same as running the out of the 286s into the 2i2 input1? I remember you said to set the variables in the 286, and run flat into the 2i2. If I do that, then this plug in is worthless? Am I processing the signal, that has been already processed via 286? I love the plug in. Im wondering if I wasted my money. I picked up the cla guitar, and the waves tune - Real time, where it auto corrects before recording. Either live or recording. You mentioned the other vocal processor for ease of use. Do you find you like to use different vocal plugins, or should I stay with the cla vocal, until I get a good ides of what Im doing? Im here in a hurricane on the west coast of Florida, until the power drops out. Thanks for your responses.

    How do you use the cla vocal for rap vocals?

    • @MTTC
      @MTTC  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can use this plugin on rap vocals but I tend to use the iZotope Nectar plugin instead. Far more control over frequencies and just as easy to use. I work with many many rappers in different UK prisons and I only ever reach for one vocal plugin for them and that’s Nectar.

    I don’t know…. It sounds like it is for a rock n roll vocalist. I’ve been using the IK Multimedia Joe Chiccarelli vocal plugin lately. The Tony Maserati box plugin from Waves seems more geared towards R&B artist in my opinion

    • @MTTC
      @MTTC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’d have to agree with you about the Maserati plugins. The CLA vocals unit is still very useful and simple to use on a wide range of material. I’m not however familiar with the IK vocal plugin. Must try it out. Cheers 😀
