That IS a beautiful color chart, Sara!!! Inspiring. I have some thinking to do... and some observing what happens on paper, paint by paint.

Thank you! My ideas evolve over time...as should each artists'...but I love these colours. Lately I have been updating my 12-colour Portable Painter...it is hard to narrow the choices down. Glad you enjoyed my thoughts! Let me know what I should talk about in my next video, if you have a request.

Oh awesome! You are a pigment nerd like myself. I studied handprint way back before it became outdated. But even now, most of the information is still current. Last I checked, Bruce is still living but hes totally retired. But I check a couple years ago. Quinacridone Gold that was originally the single pigment PO49, was never meant to be used as a warm yellow. It's just an another yellowish earthy pigment like PY43 & PY42. But because it was discontinued, companies try to replicate it with a mix. None look like the original to me. I bought lots if it for back up before it was gone. I like it better than Yellow Ochres or Raw Siennas.

Thanks for filling me in. I liked Bruce's work...and I still go read it! I know lots of people really love quinacridone gold, but it isn't my thing.

I love the colour wheel. I don't currently own any M Graham. I'm sure I can come up with something similar with my watercolours (of which I have numerous brand's and colours). Any hint where to find the pattern for the wheel? I do not have a lot of mixed pigment colours apart from greens and some neutrals preferring single pigments and the ability to more cleanly mix colours. Have you bought from Jackson's(uk) or Arte Miranda (Sp) both offer reasonable shipping to Aus so insure they are reasonable to can.?

I just made this colour wheel up myself. If you go to Facebook, follow me on Northern Impressions by Sara and we can message. I can send you a photo of the blank wheel...but I don't know if I have a good clean image of it.
