Welcome to #NerdWeek2015 !!! :D WHO. IS. HYPED?!?!
I know I am!~ I've been planning this one out for awhile, and following the success that was Nerd Week 2014 I absolutely HAD to do a second one. This looks like it'll become an annual thing ;) Prior to this Nerd Week, I had a TON of requests for all sorts of song that fit perfectly into the Nerd Week theme. I compiled pretty much all of them, and then picked the one's that I thought y'all would like to see the most! Annnnnnd a couple of personal favorites, just for me :3 Either way, this is going to be a Nerd Week to remember with a new cover EVERY. DAY., twitch/TH-cam streaming on the weekend, and a whole bunch of goodies going down over on the fan page. You're NOT gonna wanna miss a moment ;D
And now...for one of my most requested covers, PERIOD! I've always wanted to cover SandC, but I've never found an instrumental I could get behind or felt confident enough in my voice. The key of the song is just outside of my comfort zone and the melody goes everywhere. It's an enjoyable listen, that's for sure, but as a performance piece, PHEW! So, yeah! I hope you enjoy my take of Simple and Clean and let me know what you think below :) Stay tuned for a cute surprise for Day 4 :3

I'm sorry Caleb, but I agree with this. On another hand, this was definitely an interesting take on the song. One that I've never heard done before, and while I wish you could've sang a bit more inside your comfort zone, this was still fantastic.

You need to learn how to push your diaphram more/mix into head voice.
Find that duality that lies inbetween the two. Let your natural acoustics push!
Thats how I was taught to belt out, and Given practice it become so natural that you'll be wondering if you even need a microphone.

Here's the thing I've always wondered about this song: when she says "you don't hear me say", does she mean it as You simply do not hear me speaking, or You don't hear me say it because I don't say it. I'm kind of leaning towards the first one but I'm not entirely sure.
personally I think it's more like the person WANTS to say it, but doesn't. like they want the person to say but they don't tell them cuase they want them to make the choice themselves or something

it's basically her saying that she's realized how horrible this person is, and this realization is so "simple and clean" to her now. but even so, it's hard for her to let them go.

Oh, my, GOD. One of my most absolute favoritest of favorite songs EVER! And this is just an absolutely mind-blowingly, mind-bogglingly amazing cover of Utada Hikaru's 'Simple and Clean.' Was originally introduced to the song and artist via Kingdom Hearts. And this is the absolute BEST cover I've ever heard of this particular song. I love it just as much, if not more than, the original! It's done in a different style than the original, and I highly appreciate that! Sir, you had me from the very beginning, and held me until the end of the song, whereupon I wept that the sheer amazing quality of this song, was over. You have me now as a subscriber, and unless you manage to fall off the planet, I will NEVER unsubscribe, I'm pretty sure! Thank you for this, Caleb, and may you have much success and luck in the future. Rock on!

Fun fact: the guitar part is playing the music for "Hikari", the original song Utada Hikaru sang in Japanese. So if you noticed a difference between Caleb singing "Simple and Clean" and the guitar that is the reason why. Both songs are slightly different from each other.

The way this cover started was so beautiful, I would have loved if it stayed in that slow style keeping the beat of Simple and Clean's opening theme cause your voice was exactly what I thought a guy's version of this song would sound like. Him singing to the girl and such. I was sad when I heard the more After the Battle remix come in =( Props for adapting it to your own style though.
