Mercury sat bored in his orbit, behind him, Sun shone bright.
The sun looked upon Mercury and asked nice,
" Planet of mine, nearest to me,
You look strange, is something the worry?
Dont be concrned, I have a solution you'll like.
Maybe a hug to ease you would suffice? "
Mercury thought for a moment, but shook his head.
He looked upon his friend, " A hug would be nice, " he said.
" But surely if you'd lay your hands around me, I'll be dead. "
" Your fires will burn me, my friend. "
Sun laughed and told his planet,
" We're humanized! Surely you're not as fragile.
Even if you come near, your body wont turn red.
Youll be fine long as we dont touch heads.
Now come here, my dear! "
Mercury thought again and finally he agreed.
He gave the sun a big hug indeed.
Though the sun leaned forward during the action,
And burned Mercury due to his mind's distraction
When the fire eased, Sun had said,
" Dear planet Mercury, forgive me my friend!
I did not really mean to set fire to your hair,
The hug got me distracted 'cause it felt so nice and coming from you, rare! "
Mercury did not answer yet that he was fine,
And he stood a distance from his scorching shine,
He thought to himself that the sun was clingy,
Even if his friend wont admit it.
Mercury answered, " Sun my dear, it is alright.
I liked the hug, it was fine. "
Hearing this, the sun asked, " Oh! Then may we hug again? "
And Mercury replied, " Maybe later? " He seemed embarrassed.
I might redo this sometime, I cant think of rhymes as well as I usually do in night and its nighttime rn where i live
