I saw that and was genuinely impressed. For a regular one, they was a super shot.
I saw a total eclipse in 2016 I believe? It is the craziest thing ever. You feel the temperature drop instantly. It becomes dark instantly. There are squiggly lines/shadows from the suns surface everywhere. I was lucky enough for it to be a completely clear and sunny day when it happened and i just so happened to live exactly on the path of totality. As a huge space nerd, i will never ever forget it. It is truly a once in a lifetime experience.

going over to my friends house to use his telescope and like amazing yard location for the eclipse. I'm honestly not that interested in space at all but the idea of having to wait that long to see another makes it feel stupid to not see it.
I sure hope he has a solar filter on it.
If he doesn’t, you can always invert it and use it as a projector.

Its crazy how something can either be a relatively common occurance or a once in a life time experience depending on where you live. I've seen 3 eclipses in my life (four counting this one). Three of those were within the last decade and two of those will be within a few months of each other.
As far I can tell Eclipse Traffic has really picked around 6pm Eastern tonight coming from the 1 part of PA in the path and oh yeah there were at least 10 cars trying to camp in parking lots because hotel prices are crazy for tonight (Read a report for staying in a room tonight costing almost 1800 CAD in one case and I have seen several reports of 950+ CAD for tonight)
Fun fact: on average, the distance between the earth to the sun when compared to the earth and the moon is around ~390 times. The diameter of the sun compared to the moon is around ~400 times. So the numbers line up and that’s how we can even get a total solar eclipse, despite it being rare
Note: I highly recommend watching this eclipse if you’re on the east side of the U.S (with solar glasses of course) because we won’t get another one near us until 2044!

I was in Texas right around where the total solar eclipse was happening, and since I've been sick I was sleeping very long and didn't get woken up by any of my family so I missed it :(

I watched the hybrid solar eclipse in Australia back in January... Truly breathtaking! Definitely worth it to go see.
I've experienced one when i was a little kid, its something I'll never forget. Had something magical to it and sparked my interested in astronomy.

I remember seeing an eclipse when it happened a few years ago and passed through North Carolina. It was incredible and I hope I get to see a total eclipse in the future (unfortunately this one is staying away from that area)

No towers you can target away (beast handler, dartling, heli, mortar, etc)
Sounds like a giant pain in the ass. I don't think you understand just how hard it would be to evenly split pops between 2 towers

You live closer to me than I thought you did! I live in the 'oven mitt' of America. I sadly slept through the eclipse, but I saw a glimpse of the crazy sky during a moment I was slightly awake.
This event is really cool to watch, it happened here last year on Brazil, and i managed to see it completely

Having watched a solar eclipse back in... when was it... 2017 I think. That was the first time I truly understood the cosmic scale and just how small we are. There's something different about being in awe of seeing gravity like you've never witnessed before. That's just watching the moon, there's still the sun's corona, the atmosphere, and of course there the wildlife to watch as well (depending on you're location).
I remember that one! One of my friends got some absolutely incredible pictures

I once saw a solar eclipse while in middle school. I was told that it was coming, and chose to use my breaks for starring towards the sun until something happend. I haven't seen a total solar eclipse before though.
So when you live stream yourself covered in Vaseline sliding across the floor to pop the balloons.

It only ever appears as a buffing tower in god boosting videos; I know it's not great at simply doing damage but I'd like to see what it does
I'd totally love to see this eclipse, as I also don't live too far from where totality will be, but I procrastinated on making plans to go, so I'll have to settle for a partial eclipse.
Maybe I'll look into traveling to Spain in 26 or 27.

I've always been told to put sunglasses or smt like that on when looking at them eclipses, and I have seen a few of them. Its a good idea because when that happens and everything goes dark, that light ring from the sun can cause severe eye damage. 😬😬

I was able to see the total solar eclipse a like 6-8 years ago and it was an amazing experience.
isab eclipses go over the same trajectory approximately every 18 years

I saw it in 2017 and I can say it’s cooler to talk to the people that come from all around. The lights of all the areas that came on when it got dark kinda ruined it though. Make sure you go someplace with like no signs or streetlights
I have only seen the solar eclipse once, it's hard to take a photo of it(well it was around 8 years ago) at least it was a total eclipse and it's worse it

Funnily enough when I associated the solar eclipse with BTD6 the first thing I thought of was the tack shooter ring of fire because of the ring created when the moon covers the sun

We dont have one every time its a new moon because the moon is on a 5% tilt and the point were it can happen only happens 2 times a year but the moon isn’t in spot that it can happen thats why there so rare

You and I live roughly at the same latitude. Though, I have would have to drive just under 4 hours to reach the dead center of the totality line. Unfortunately, I don’t want to be driving for 8+ hours tomorrow. (Likely more due to the quantity of people going)

I'm watching this during the solar eclipse
I live in the Pacific Northwest of the US, so I am pretty far away from the eclipse and can't really go out to see it. Luckily 7 years ago, in 2017, I was able to see the previous solar eclipse since it passed directly over my house.
Unfortunately can’t go to this one because it’s on the last day of classes 😅

“Once in a lifetime event” that also happened 8 years ago lol. The path of totality was closer to me then and I went to see it. Very neat experience
Well, it could easily be a once in a lifetime event to be fair. Unless you go pretty out of your way to get into the path, it's fairly likely that you won't see a total eclipse for the the rest of your life
The eclipse was awesome
Quick tip: Last total eclipse had such bad traffic heading home after that people were stuck on the highways for like 10 hours. People had to get out and go pee in bushes, everyone was running out of food and water, it was awful. Book a hotel and stay an extra day to avoid the mess!
Hotels are also extremely overcrowded and very expensive
I'm so sad that I can't go to see the eclipse. I live in the PNW, literally like the furthest away I could be while living in the US. Maybe in 20 years...

I have a tennis match starting the same time as the solar eclipse. It's only about an 80% eclipse for me, but playing tennis in the dark sounds fun. (wow, i play tennis. im such a nerd)
