This is my Opinion. So I get it if you feel offended. In the DUB they make the characters sound how they're supposed to. In the DUB the voices sound more manly(for men). If you hear Goku's voice in SUB he sounds like a girl, (I know that Goku is voiced by a woman). And I hope everyone knows that people like the DUB more than the SUB. And it's proven by fact. The DUB was more praised. And I honestly see why. The voice actors do such a great job. Also the reason why Beerus said 'Hakai' in the DUB is because mostly ALL of the moves from the dub are in Japanese. If Goku were to say Turtle Wave(Kamehameha) that wouldn't sound right at all. It'll just sound stupid. Also in the DUB I actually like how Supreme Kai is like a know-it-all. It gives him a smarter feel, a more fancy feel. It shows of what a Supreme Kai should sound like. And saying that the DUB is copying the SUB isn't true. That's the story line. Its not copying. They don't have to change EVERYTHING that the sub says. But overall I have to go with the DUB. It's more feeling to the characters and it feels like the DUB was made for this Anime. The SUB isn't that bad too but... It has its faults. Funimation has always been inconsistent when it comes to attack names. They'll leave things like 'kamehameha' and 'masenko' untranslated but then translate other attacks into 'destructo disk', 'tri-beam', or 'evil containment wave'. Or in the case of early Kai, have both. Not that I dislike those names they've created, I like the dub names better, but not all the moves are in Japanese.
Well the main reason for him still saying Hakai in the Dub, is the same reason as Kamehameha. Kamehameha Means Turtle Wave, but we don't hear Goku scream "TURTLE WAVE!" This move now gets the same treatment. Funimation knows that Hakai sounds cooler than just "Destroy".
Well Spirit Bomb sounds cooler than Genki Dama in my opinion. And I'm sure Funimation decided that as well. Same will probably go for Ultra Instinct. They aren't gonna call it Mejate no Gokui are they? Sometimes the word sounds cooler than the translation, sometimes it doesn't. It depends.
I like the cocky nature of Whis and Beerus in the Dub. It constantly gives you that vibe that nothing really worries them because they are so powerful. Also dubbed voice for Whis is my favorite.
the only voice i like on dub is goku.. the rest i prefer japanese.. but am happy watching them either way.. I waited every week for every sup ep of dbs and automatically got accustomed to the voices.. now when i watch dub I have to get used to it again
Not to be rude, but there were some issues with the structuring of the video, mainly at the end. You say “Beerus is about to get down to business” right after he says “Hakai”, you say “Let’s finish with the epic moment that Beerus Hakais Zamasu” and then just cut the video, and I heard one audio flub right before the Hakai section entirely. Then there were some moments in the video where you criticize the dub for being too different and moments where you criticize the dub for copying MOST of the sub’s phrasing in one section. Pick a lane and stick in it, man. Overall, a decent video, but some errors that detracted from the viewing experience, especially since I was looking forward to the analysis between Zamasu’s screams as he’s slowly erased from existence.

I liked the dub so much better. Really made beerus look like the feared legend he is supposed to be. With all of his food talk it's pretty easy to forget that he is a bringer of death and destruction. The dub makes him seem much more scary.

ItsAnimeGirl hey animegirl have you watched Re;Zero. If no than please do watch it as it is my favourite anime. Atmost my top 3 list will always contain it even in future as their is only season1 and season 2 might come in 2019. Maybe. But their is enough material to make atmost 2 more seasons as season contains 3 arcs and Arc 4 is already long enough to cover the earlier 3 arcs and I have been reading translated web novel of translationchicken who is been translating the web novel after the 25 episodes are over. So far it's the first web novel I have taken interest and I love it. So it's my recommendation to you. And plus it's one of the series which contains high spoilers and you might see beyond other TH-camrs as you have got quite some sharp eyes on you. And you can definitely make awesome videos on rezero. I will definitely watch your rezero based videos and I have heard that their would be dub release soon so you can also make a voice comparison when the dub releases and I would say thing first that rezero has got best voice actors so far I have seen and not even single actor feels like and earsore to me. They match with there characters perfectly. Ep 15 and 18 are my recommended episodes in this series. Bye bye and keep the good work going on.😋

Japanese Zamasu makes the semi rational point that if they went to the future and saw his plans come into fruition that means that he has already won and therefore can’t fail here which prompts him to act more rashly ( Hence Beerus’ « don’t get too cocky » line ). He apparently didn’t pay much attention when Gowasu explained to him the concept of time rings and different flows of time. ( Then again, who can blame him. The way time works in this arc makes no goddamn sense ) English Zamasu doesn’t even allude to that point and just doesn’t want them to interfere with his plan, no mention of how he can’t lose now because in the future they saw he already succeeded. Biggest difference in the whole scene so I thought I’d point it out since it slipped through.
You misunderstood the comment about the time ring giving power, it doesn't directly make you more powerful it's just the fact you can now freely go through space and time at will
Japanese Hakai: Menacing and truly feels all powerful. Followed by a scream of terror. English Hakai: Relaxed and dripping with experience which makes me uncomfortable how little problem he has doing this right in front of Gowasu. And the scream makes me want to scream considering it actually sounds like he’s being disintegrated rather than just being scared shitless.
In my opinion I’m still kinda confused (liked my grammar for example) that you kinda get or not frustrating about Beerus not being scary but more sarcastic but I thought that was part of personality he a destroyer of course he not going to take things serious because of how powerful he is since he see everyone as a joke except for whis, grand priest, and Zeno but I’m waiting for people to send me hate comments. In the Dub. Goku never said he went to the future. He just said he saw the future and Zamasu responded with: "What's that? You traveled to the Future?" Seeing the future and going to the future are two completely different things. Basically, Dub Zamasu should not have known he traveled to the future.

This is a great video and I enjoyed the overreacted humor, but for the sake of yourself try to think about your words a little bit more carefully; I'm not saying to stop speaking on behalf of your personal opinions but I've noticed some "nasty people," who will take what you say the wrong way and bark at you. I understand that you're intentions of stating a difference between sub and dub anime aren't to offend but inform, I just want you to see if you can word it in any other possible way(Then again anyone can just get mad for anything you say about Sub or Dub) just wanted to give you a hint of advice

I don't mean to sound racist or anything but the only reason why I sub sounds tougher then dub it's because the Japanese male's version of the way they speak makes them sound intimidating and Dub makes it song More sarcastic because you can actually understand what they saying have you tried match up the words that the sub is saying to the Japanese language it's not going to match up you got to truly understand Japanese like the subtitles that's not the exact wording that they saying in Japanese 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔💯💯💯💯

one thing: in japanese, Shin describes what he and the others _think_ is Zamasu’s plan as if that’s definitely the whole thing. In the dub Shin admits that what he’s describing is merely speculation based on what they know.

If no than please do watch it as it is my favourite anime. Atmost my top 3 list will always contain it even in future as their is only season1 and season 2 might come in 2019. Maybe.
But their is enough material to make atmost 2 more seasons as season contains 3 arcs and Arc 4 is already long enough to cover the earlier 3 arcs and I have been reading translated web novel of translationchicken who is been translating the web novel after the 25 episodes are over.
So far it's the first web novel I have taken interest and I love it.
So it's my recommendation to you.
And plus it's one of the series which contains high spoilers and you might see beyond other TH-camrs as you have got quite some sharp eyes on you.
And you can definitely make awesome videos on rezero.
I will definitely watch your rezero based videos and I have heard that their would be dub release soon so you can also make a voice comparison when the dub releases and I would say thing first that rezero has got best voice actors so far I have seen and not even single actor feels like and earsore to me. They match with there characters perfectly.
Ep 15 and 18 are my recommended episodes in this series.

Of course I grew up watching english dub but I grew very found on the sub as I got older . Last week a Kameha meeting all the English voice actors even both vegeta I got mad love for both
It's hard to get a feel for the scene with it being cut after every line. A suggestion would be to let the scene play and analyze afterwards.

been watching dbs subs so long that i forgot the dubs still do an amazing job with the voices.
also, what happened at 10:09 ?
Japanese Zamasu makes the semi rational point that if they went to the future and saw his plans come into fruition that means that he has already won and therefore can’t fail here which prompts him to act more rashly ( Hence Beerus’ « don’t get too cocky » line ). He apparently didn’t pay much attention when Gowasu explained to him the concept of time rings and different flows of time.
( Then again, who can blame him. The way time works in this arc makes no goddamn sense )
English Zamasu doesn’t even allude to that point and just doesn’t want them to interfere with his plan, no mention of how he can’t lose now because in the future they saw he already succeeded.
Biggest difference in the whole scene so I thought I’d point it out since it slipped through.

Japanese Hakai: Menacing and truly feels all powerful. Followed by a scream of terror.
English Hakai: Relaxed and dripping with experience which makes me uncomfortable how little problem he has doing this right in front of Gowasu. And the scream makes me want to scream considering it actually sounds like he’s being disintegrated rather than just being scared shitless.

In the Dub. Goku never said he went to the future. He just said he saw the future and Zamasu responded with: "What's that? You traveled to the Future?" Seeing the future and going to the future are two completely different things. Basically, Dub Zamasu should not have known he traveled to the future.
I was looking forward to quality media but then I noticed what channel I was on when the video started.
