    The compression magic formula:
    Crank the sustain
    Attack all the way hard left
    Adjust the output to taste
    This throws the signal fully into compression.
    Slowly adjust the attack forward if you want a snappy Jimmy Hendrix tone. You’ll have to hunt down the sweet spot for this.

    Used to use BOSS CS3 and MXR Dynacomp, years ago - this little pedal has the best qualities of both. For the price, the Kokko is an excellent compressor pedal in compact form.

      Can you expound haha. Why the inclusion of "for the price"? I'm a beginner with pedals haha. Thanks! Thinking if I should get this or the CS3 haha.

      Considering replacing my Dyna Comp as it is pretty useless due to it’s ‘characteristic sound’ (which is a lot like a condenser mic being dragged across a carpet). Might try one of these, worth a punt for £18

    Where would this work best in a signal chain with multiple pedals?

    • @hankhill5409
      @hankhill5409 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Almost always very first in the chain

    • @phunkyjunkee
      @phunkyjunkee 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not always first. I run it last in front of the amp… I run tuner, vibe, wah, and tube screamers in front of it. This is the way.

    I was going to pick up this set of pedals, they are rebranded Nux pedals the same as the Amazon Basics pedals.

    • @ryanx7170
      @ryanx7170 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've had a nux pedal was a vintage overdrive stomp box design it was OK not as aggressive as the boss turbo overdive though

    • @toneseeker87
      @toneseeker87 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are not rebranded. There are lots of Chinese pedals with the same enclosure sizes and circuitries were identical, i cannot blame you for telling that they are rebranded but believe me China has this massive different companies that clones everything.

      I have both. The Mooer doesn't do much except boost the volume, in my opinion. Completely different pedals.

    a lot of pedals like this in the market, behringer started the hype years ago but now the enclosures are better, the switches and jacks are way better quality and these things sound really decent! #goldeneraofgear .. cheers bud!

    I don't care for compression much. I like notes to fade out naturally. Compressors just mess with that. Now, if was was playin 4/4 rhythm guitar banging out chords, I might turn one on for that. But most times, nope. But this Kokko unit is fine, if I needed one for a good price, it would fit he bill.
