Instead of renewing her exclusive contract, Wheein signed an extension for her Mamamoo contract for another 2.5 years meaning she's still with Mamamoo but her solo work won't be exclusive to RBW anymore. Renewal contracts in sk is maximum 2-3 years so all 4 member's contracts end almost at the same time.

@@reddd5115 there is still hope tho. After their contracts expire, they can renegotiate and still renew as Mamamoo even if they already are in different agencies especially if rbw is fine with it.
They should buy the rights of using the name mamamoo..

Mamamoo’s sincere friendship is what truly made the group. It was very similar to BTS, their bond is what fed the songs since they had the same goal/cause. They say Wheein and Hwasa’s initial friendship helped shape the group. They were best friends with a dream to sing and made it together. They practiced together even longer. Wheein and Hwasa are a package deal in many ways. So it was poetic they did the harmony at the end.
It's true that the song feels more sad now that we know the news, but consider Wheein still signed a contract to be with Mamamoo until 2023 (when it's speculated the contracts of the other members end, so the situation might change then, maybe they will all leave the company together or Wheein will come back to the company if they start to do better in terms of promotion), it's her solo career that's in question, and yes, one wonders if she will be around a little less (*cries*), but these girls are not like other kpop groups, they have a real solid bond, for example, Hwasa and Wheein are friends since high school! They are like a family and Wheein didn't just give empty words that she will be with Mamamoo, she signed contract with RBW (company) to still participate in the group activities and the other girls in their interactions seem cool around Wheein, so I imagine they all had a conversation about this. Wheein is doing what's best for her, and as a fan, I will respect that, even if it made me a little sad at first 😅

It's such an interesting song and really poignant since it comes at such a pivotal point in their career --- it's their 7th year as a group, and it was released around the time when they were deciding about the renewal of their contracts with their agency.

It's not sad though the company have always mistreated wheein many times & they were always a big bareer in her solo career aside from them never protecting her so now she get to be in better company & still be with mmm

She was managed and mistreated a lot of times especially on her solo career considering it does well on kcharts (Anymore and Goodbye topped the charts even being unpromoted) Goodbye was supposedly win a music show win but RBW didnt restock her albums and underestimate her fans power. Even fans demand RBW to restock her and Mamamoo albums but they didnt. Even MAMAMOO pre order is getting out of stock just because Rbw dont produce more albums and its "pre order" why it will be out of stock right? RBW is literally mistreating and mismanaging MAMAMOO. RBW focuses more on their newer groups. The ads, the subtitles, the promo, and more.
@@holywaterofskz3681 mistreatment is borderline abuse. Also, those are still allegations since those are only observations from an outside view by a fan. You don’t know what really goes on inside the company. If she truly were being mistreated, I don’t think the other members would stay mum about it especially Hwasa.
Allegations like these are theories and are damaging without real evidence. And, can be used to sue for libel and slander.

It was Wheein's decision to not promote her first solos because she didn't want the all the attention to herself (paraphrasing here obviously but it's somewhere along these lines). Also she was not mistreated, she was very well supported especially during her hardest times.
